I would have probably died in your place too. After the oh shit, what the fuck moment initially, well. I'll just eat it and reroll. Sure I'll be annoyed at shitty mechanics, but hey, what can you do? Discuss it, hope GGG will change it so it's not quite so unforgiving and give you a little breathing space like virtually any other entrance, and do it again. The next time, I'll be damn ready to instantly hit 12345 when zoning into the boss room in case it happens again. By the time I see monsters, register they're charging, and hit 12345 right away, I should already be taking damage where the flasks will actually be effective. And since I'll be running at least 3 instant flasks, that'll give me a buffer to start enfeebling, casting spells, trying to run around, etc.
Shitty game mechanics or not, whether or not they'll be changed or not, they're here now. It's my job to figure out a way using my current resources to overcome it. The way I see this kind of shit, it's a learning experience. Every death I learn something new. Every death means hopefully the next char won't die quite like that, and I'll be able to progress further. Yes, it blows to lose hours and days and weeks of work, but we all know that. We accept that the instant we choose to play HC. How you deal with it is a far more important lesson, one that I find sadly is not very realized amongst many. So you are trying to say what exactly? Btw i didnt die cuz my buddy took the mobs with him.
The point of this thread is to: 1. Let players know about the danger 2. Maybe become noticed by GGG and maybe fixed or changed in some way 3. Let other people share their experience from this exact map What is NOT the point of this thread: 1. Show who is pro or not 2. Who is good at adapting 3. Who is having fun being dead 4. What would one have to do after one die 5. A place to call people names |

I merely am replying to those of who are trying to call me out on shit. My initial post was to support the OP and sharing my experiences, that yes, this happened to me too, which fulfilled #1, 2, and 3.

thanks for the heads up op.
I did a cemetery map solo as melee and got rushed by the mobs on entering the boss room. Luckily they were ele dmg mobs and I could tank with my 83% resists. If they were rhoas or shield chargers I would have died. | |
