Can we do something about trading in PoE
" Economy 101... supply and demand... take your pick from real world economic theory. Economic principles are no different in a game economy than they are in the real world. In a game economy, if more items enter the economy than there is a demand for, without restrictions (like for example the current trade system) their price will go to just slightly above 0. If a game is produced along those lines, by and large nobody will ever find anything they can't buy with much less effort for a pittance, and the game is reduced to being a 'finding currency and buying equipment' game. The supply will come from gold-farmer bots. GGG is well aware of this, which is why easy trading will simply not happen. |

" Agree, that's no rocket science. " And that's where you're wrong. Sure, the value deflates with increasing supply of items but there are still chase items or items with a high demand which value will NOT go "slightly above 0". It's the shitty niche-unique items that no one uses which are common and have almost no purpose in game which will deflate to a value slightly above 0. Sure, items leaving the market stabilize their deflation in value A BIT (see hardcore economy) but over time the overall supply of desired items will not be that high that their value goes down as much as you present it to be. Just look for boots with high res, movementspeed and life as an example. You'll see there are none with a "value slightly above 0". ::::::::▄▄▄▀▀▀▄▄███▄::::::::::::::

" These are not even related to the problem! The problem is all the other ones that do go to 0, which means that at no time in a players character development will s/he be able to find anything that he can't buy for next to nothing from the auction house. |

And GGG can fix the drop rates if they so desire. Meanwhile they can finally completely separate SSF and adjust the drop rates for that. Easy

" I see your point. But those items would go down to 0 anyway since theres no demand because these items are undesirable either way. I'm not 100% pro auction house with fully automated trade, just to make that clear. But wouldn't an auctionhouse help selling those 0-value items because it'd be less effort for the seller to sell them? And in case of a fully automated trading they would 100% sell. There will be a minimum price associated to the item even if it's close to 0. It's already like that. ::::::::▄▄▄▀▀▀▄▄███▄::::::::::::::
