Solaris lorica copper plate: Chaos Damage still bypasses ES

I don't think the damage you take through MoM has a type. The damage you take from the monster is likely attributed to your life pool.
Whenever you are dealt damage to your life pool, part of it is taken from your mana instead. Nothing is actually dealt to your mana, just taken.

According to the wiki:

Eldritch Battery and Chaos damage
If the node Eldritch Battery is chosen energy shield protects mana instead of life. This energy shield will absorb the converted damage before it is applied on mana. Since chaos damage bypasses energy shield the chaos damage will then be applied directly on mana.

Even if the damage didn't have the Chaos 'type' it should still be absorbed by the Energy Shield protecting mana. EDIT: **If MoM damage doesn't have the Chaos 'type' anymore: all the more reason for it to be absorbed by the Energy Shield protecting mana.**

Perhaps a video and character link would help with some of the confusion in this topic.
