nah
but you missed my point entirely.

the guy failed one drox fight and comes and makes a thread about it, instead of analyzing his build, improving his build and his playstyle and conquering the conqueror next time. doing so would give a sense of accomplishment.

again, instead, you come and just wah wah wah because it must be a problem with the game. so much so that the dude who designed it should be fired, apparently.

so basically....yeah...git gud.
if your character can't do something, then improve it until it can. that is what the game is about.
What tier drox is that strong? I've been having an easy time with him up through yellow maps and my build is neither expensive nor op. I assume t16 drox with some awakening shenanigans?

Since when does every build have to be able to do red maps? I have gotten plenty of drops in yellows and feel my build has ample challenge in low tier red maps. Even beating the shaper guardians was considered an exclusive club for a long time. GGG finally tries to revert a small amount of our power creep and everyone explodes just as it was predicted they would?

Nah, it's fine (at least for my totem build).
Did him deathless on Awakener level 5 with no issues and rather quickly.
OP just kill the banners. Or you're gonna have a bad time.

Spent half an hour, and failed obviously, to kill an invulnerable boss that continuously clutters the battlefield with banners. banners which make the Boss Immune to all damage, and that have as high health as the damn boss himself.

Now, I don't mind having long boss battles, or having challenging shit to do, but at least give me a fucking chance to hit back.

Rant over, before the "git gud" crowd arrives.

Obviously you've been playing this game for a while and i noticed you have a lot of SSF characters but do you actually run 3+ health/mana flasks on every single character? Your scion has 2 eternal life flasks, 2 hallowed hybrid flasks and a sacred life (lvl 36) flask. Have you ever used defensive or offensive flasks?

I know you are SSF but man have you tried replacing/crafting some new gear?

You have CWDT gems at lvl 20 (3200 dmg taken) but you have like < 4k life.

I know for some people they dont like following guides, rather do it themselves but there is a lot to learn about this game.

I wouldn't consider myself a hardcore gamer but I'm no slouch either. I killed Shaper in my first league (Betrayal) with a melee build. I still use guides for new characters but I would bet for every guide I've followed, I've probably learnt at least a few new mechanics/tips/tricks each time.

TLDR: i checked your character and the boss fight is definitely not the problem here.

I'm aware that my character is a bit on the low DPS side; such is the fate of trying your own builds and not going for the OP pew pew stuff. As far as the CWDT it's Ok because besides the life I also use some form of MOM, and the helm really helps also. As far as the flasks, I like having control over my health, and mana (probably unpopular, but it has never been a problem so far).

All in all, I think I just don't meet the necessary DPS to kill Drox. Which is weird because the other 3 conquerors (at same level of difficulty) seem to go down just fine.

Also, it might just be me, but every time I mange to get his banners down he instantly summons new ones. I might just have to admit that this character will not be able to kill Drox, unless I get some super DPS (which seems unlikely with my chosen skill). Oh well, win some lose some, keep trying or reroll I guess.
edit.

do you guys drag him down the bottom of one of the aisles or fight him in the middle? The middles got more room to work with but you have to pop those 4 banners quick when it cycles round not sure which is more comfortable

It's easier in the isles, in theory.
I am not entirely sure but i think he summons four Banners with some sort of cooldown ability. I'd say the cooldown is about 10 seconds, maybe a bit more. Since he is invulerable within the range of a banner that makes him pretty much the definition of an DPS check. The faster you can take out those banners the more damage you can force on him. If you need 10 seconds just to remove the banners you might not even have enough time to down his energyshield, which recovery during the invulnerability Phase, before he summons new ones. So yeah, if your dps sucks you probably can't beat this boss at all.

You can make things a bit easier by luring him into a corner where only 1 banner can spawn in range, that way you just have to kill one banner instead of 4 but if your damage is still not enough all you can do is going for more damage.

That being said, you certainly don't need an OP build to beat him. Just halfway decent dps. I've beaten him with most of mine an non of them is meta or OP.

Took me a long time to take that one down. Definitely the hardest of the four. I think the main problem is that his ads got like a million hp or something. They got like 10 times more hp than similar mobs of that level. Balanced lol?

I had to use a 6-link to take care of Drox:

I am probably playing a different game if some can just one shot this boss.

TBH i found this fight the easiest of the 4 elderslayers or whatever they are called. Choreographed skills, plenty of time and good visuals to indicate when/where to move. I didn't really have problems with the banners because of LOL arc mines damage but I wasnt to sure of what to do.
