Reminder: Resolute Technique still provides minimal value over non-RT builds ever since Acc buff.
In terms of balance, it seems pretty clear that RT really should get a compensatory buff, because it's very easy to hit 95% to 100% accuracy. Worst case scenario if you really half-ass accuracy, you might get 90% accuracy against Evasive enemies, and with how strong Crit is, the ~11.1% (100/90) more damage from RT plus the ability to ignore Blind is not a compelling choice at all.
At the very least, since enemy PDR% is designed to be a thing now, why not give RT the ability to ignore PDR% as well? It's already vaguely Strength (phys)-aligned, and its original value proposition was very much "ignore these complicating mechanics in favor of consistent damage." IMO it could use something on top of that, like, I dunno, +weapon range? Cannot be Stunned while using Attacks? But you guys are the game developers, I trust you to come up with something good. Give it something like: your damage is Resolute
Resolute: damage value and chance to inflict ailments is rolled three times and takes the best value The scam posts are the reflection of the decrease of the overall intelligence of humanity

Please remove Resolute Technique from vaal affix on weapons. I don't want to have double chances to destroy my weapons when I vaal them.

I have a simple suggestion,
Resolute Technique: Your hits can't be Evaded. You never deal Critical Strikes. You have XX% chance to deal double damage on hit with attack. Or you deal XX% more damage on hit with attack. You can get 40% more damage from elemental overload. There is no reason that you get no damage boost from Resolute Technique. Last edited by smtad#6581 on Dec 31, 2019, 1:43:40 PM

Agree with the double damage suggestion. Chance to deal double damage has an inherent cap and is additive with other sources - this ensures RT won’t become another multiplier, just in case GGG has concern about overly buffing it.
Unfortunately GGG won’t touch RT despite many threads like this, so who the heck knows what’s going on. They buy the myth that melee is inherently unfixable so they use it as cannon fodder. We're all in this leaky boat together, people. Last edited by demon9675#2961 on Dec 31, 2019, 1:57:50 PM

Why not Resolute Technique - your hits always deals the max damage roll and ignore enemy PDR & all res for 1 hit, every 2-3 seconds?
Any RT "bonus" should never be % chance based, as the damn theme relies on CONSISTENCY... Crit allows easy 4-5 times the regular damage for around every second hit, and EO is outright a further skill gem "moar" multiplier "clone" for almost no cost at all these days. Making a concession and having a decent incentive for players to hit more rhythmically, even if they are slower/faster attack based is insufficiently explored, and I feel some improvements will open new design space sorely needed regarding RT... PS: A double Fortify effect for 1 sec if you have hit in a <16 radius should be either a new keystone, or simply slapped to RT for "moar" survivability as you already spend "considerably" more time fighting the enemies when you spec RT... PSS: Our almighty TencentGGG overlords are very scrupulous regarding criticizing their abilities to take proper decisions and consider everything "needlessly harsh and condescending"... Good to know "free speech" doesn't apply in any form or manner on the forums these days... Last edited by sofocle10000#6408 on Dec 31, 2019, 2:04:05 PM

Well how about~
Adding you cannot take critical strikes to the node since you don’t deal them, it’s only fair u don’t take them Or You always deal maximum damage roll The scam posts are the reflection of the decrease of the overall intelligence of humanity

Maximum damage I think makes the most sense.

does it need to be really good?
having resolute be a must have for non crit builds is a stupid idea to start with, so if u buff it to make it a must have for non crit again then were back to that, which is awful. non crit attack builds should not feel they have to travel to this one place on the tree and take this one node that all non crit attack builds have no take because its really good. I feel like this is essentially trying to unfix res tech, its trying to make it what it was without really considering if that was ever a good thing in the first place, i really think it wasnt. honestly Id rather see a better reason to take nodes like blood magic. accuracy still needs investment, one phys leeched as mana stat on gear or a single mana leech node on the tree makes bloodmagic shit, because you get more auras, the same amount of life and you still fuel ur attacks. takes more than a single node with acc or a single acc gear stat to make res tech shit, an awful lot more. edit: as an example i have a meatball cyclone ranger, she has over 300 dex, 4 large accuracy nodes, 2 accuracy suffixes on gear and runs a level 15 precision in order to just about make it to 100% hit chance, which is then rekt by enfeeble which is a pretty regular map mod or evasive monster mod. with those stats res tech is comparable, has ups and downs. its one node and its on a par with trying to replicate that on a marauder, its not really really hard but its hardly insignificant. 1 mana leech node actually makes bloodmagic total shit for an attack build like that, its a pure downgrade, its not comparable, its absolute garbage. I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :) Last edited by Snorkle_uk#0761 on Dec 31, 2019, 5:52:04 PM

I do not agree with anything said here. RT has its use for casters who use attacks that need to hit to apply secondary effects who cannot invest into accuracy. While it may only be applicable for the most budget builds right now and anyone with more experience / money will be better off without it in terms of melee builds, it has its niche
The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.
