Help; Best melee spectre?

Hairy Bonecrushers (the bears in act 2 old fields) use Enduring Cry and have big life. Enduring Cry taunts and gives them 3 endurance charges, if the hit enemies with it, meaning they have inherent 45% phys damage reduction and 45% ele resistance.

I use them as tanks, but they are not fast.

people usually dont use melee spectres for damage, because they're melee and you already usually have zombies and smellies to take up that space. usually its just utility specters if they're not used for damage

like mentioned, kitavas heralds are one of the best melee ones, but you need to have multistrike for their slam

also sandworn slaves and slashed miscreations for damage, but the former are a questionable choice as they're slow.

if you're interested here's a reddit thread on physical (not melee) spectres:

As melee specters, my absolute winners are sandworn slaves. They have a ton of life, and their damage isn't half bad either.
Not much in relation to the topic but, why play Spectre if there are suicidal Raging Spirit?

Imagine 20 remote controled missiles that burn the victims even before they can be touched in some cases (Righteous Fire missiles) and that after a few seconds explode causing great damage instead of dying without doing anything useful. Infernal Legion Support is a beast...
Bethesda is known for having good ideas and terrible realization of them. GGG is a Bethesda subsidiary or what?

Zombies die in deep delve quite fast and my goal is to push deep.

I've played SRS, they are fun when linked with the new burning legion or w/e gem and minion instability, however its not a good build for pushing deep in delve in hardcore.

i haven't tried them, but i did look them up, they cast tornadoes and sand storms all over map, I hear good things about them but they seem to clutter the screen and make it hard to see = scrary for hardcore

If you are afraid of screen clutter, you can use the other version of them, Rattling Condemned. They use Cyclone, but do not have the Sand Storm trigger, so no screen clutter.

While not quite as tanky as the Stoneskin Frayer (800% HP multiplier) you posted. They have a respectable 440% HP multiplier.

Other options include Cavestalker, Blackguard Stalker, and Purge Hound. For Blackguard Stalker, make sure you get the one with the dodge ability on it. For Purge Hound, it should have the maim ability on it.
Have u tried lunaris champions? They have an "ice dash" that gets them close to melee pretty quickly, use ice crash sometimes, but dunno how resistant they are

This thread is 5 months old bruh. Anyway, for anyone else wanting to try a melee spectre for some reason, consider Redemption Knights - https://youtu.be/FUO7ZdqEQTw

I'd also recommend checking that channel^ (and Ghazzy's channel) for showcases of a whole bunch of spectre options. Good luck!
