Paypal chargeback
A few days ago i tried to purchase the 100 dollar supporter pack in the usual way i always do per my Bank Account.
Xsolla then responded with an error message that the purchase failed for some reason. So i tried it again a few more times but got the same message that the purchase failed. I finally payd the supporter pack over a paypal account of a friend. A few days later my account was locked by ggg due to an "outstanding chargeback". But on my bank account was no activity at all and no chargeback or transaction. So i guess that Xsolla counted every single failed purchase attempt as a chargeback of multiple 100 dollars. I was outraged about this because i wanted to play Path of Exile over christmas and wrote them a few more or less angry emails with no reaction. My fear is that GGG thinks im lying and i dont know what to do. Sorry to hear that.
As you have already sent them an email, there's little you can do until they reply. At the moment they have a pretty huge backlog since it's the holidays and lower on active staff. Most importantly, please avoid sending multiple mails as that will update your ticket and push it down the to end of the queue thus making you wait even longer. Hope this will be sorted out asap! I never thought i would get locked that easily or that it can happen just like this to me. The most depressing thing is that if it all work out i will think twice buying another supporter pack (especially with Xsolla) which really should be a concern for GGG. I was planning to upgrade it to the 160 dollar supporter pack in the future. Im not so sure anymore, it really depends on the response from GGG or an explanation how this can happen so easily |

Apparently the Bank account of my friend has refused to interact with Xsolla
The status at the moment is on solving a conflict. I dont know what to say really, maybe im not even able to avoid a chargeback. My old Bank account seems to not want to transact with Xsolla too. Seems like i get permanently banned now because nobody wants to deal with Xsolla |

" A chargeback is when you complete the transaction, get the goods and then reverse the charges. Since this has not happend, you can't get banned for a chargeback. PLEASE CONFIRM that you didn't get ANYTHING from the failed transaction. But super simple to prove on your side, go to your bank and get them to confirm that no chargeback was done on your account --> send this document to GGG and you will be good to go. However it will properly not be resolved before 2020 because I would guess that a manager / boss have to sign off on this. |

So apparently i was wrong with my assumption.
There is currently a dispute between Paypal and Xsolla Paypal did a chargeback of the transaction because of "unauthorised transaction of the merchant" and is currently waiting from an answer from Xsolla. I wasnt involved or have known any of this but suddenly my account was locked. Is the horror storys true that somehow if i can cancel the chargeback and the payment goes through i still could get permanently banned for this? What can i do? Please somebody help me |

" you will need to prove that you didn't do it so you will have to get documentation from paypal about this. Then you will have to send that to GGG support and them they will look at it. But it will properly take several weeks before that is all done. |

" Can i demand to have the documentation from paypal that the chargeback came from them or can they maybe refuse to do this? EDIT: Please, maybe somebody else or a GGG staff can write something because this paypal account isnt even mine. I cant get this easily permanently banned right? " Oh so you used an paypal account that wasn't yours, now it's looking really bad for you. Now you will need two things as I see it --> 1. Proof from the Paypal account owner that he did allow this transaction to take place. 2. The paypal account owner need to contact paypal support and get this fixed and have them document that they did a chargeback without his knowledge. However I must admit that I don't think things are looking well for you in regards to getting your account back. |

I ask my sister if i could do it from her paypal account because from my bank account the purchase failed multiple times.
Was this somehow a mistake then? I wanted to buy the 100 dollar supporter pack and i was excited? I was naive in thinking there wouldnt be any problem maybe. I couldnt imagine that there would be some kind of problem with this and now i will maybe loose an account i payd over 1000 dollars over the years. |
