Is there something GGG has against pants/leg wear?

Nice to see people are addressing the lack of pants. I feel odd running around as an elderly man with a draft down below. Feel like Herbert from Family Guy almost, I've got some candy for the kids in my non-existent pants.

It's a bit of a running joke in the game chat ("wtb some pants," "I found an Orb of Lesser Pants," but I personally don't see the problem with it as it is. :)

Would be really nice to see what the stance on this topic is from GGG.

I think GGG's stance is rather clear... They designed characters that wear articles of clothing other than pants. They also refrained from adding a "leg" item slot.

When is a game gonna allow me to accessorize with socks? Will this ever be brought into a game that has graphics or am I just stuck with dwarf fortress for the time being?
Id like the socks with +100% to fuzziness. |

I just want to point out that many other cultures besides just the Greeks wore clothing in this fashion. In fact, during that period much of the Medditeranian civilization wore togas and other forms of robes and wrappings. Clearly this is the inspiration for much of the stylings in the game.
If you don't like this, go play Diablo. I hear they have holes in their pants for "bonuses". |

" So now they get feedback about they design: "Characters without pants look stupid, especially in higher lvl armor". Maybe its time to redesign something and add pants to game? Because full plate armor plus big shield and naked legs is rly not cool. And ppl play HnS to have cool and powerfull looking chars - not silly looking ones. I personally dont care about leg slot but adding pants or smth to class models is perfectly reasonable and will solve most issues. PoE is not based around greeks etc... like Titan Quest. If they designed character classes with inspiration from medditerenian cultures, togas, etc... why they start to include full body armors on higher lvls? THIS IS THE PROBLEM. Because it looks idiotic. In Tq chars has naked legs but whole game was in this settings and style and timeline - PoE isnt. Last edited by Kabraxis#1526 on Apr 26, 2012, 1:27:08 PM

would be cool if pants can be added, but only as an additional sprite or w/e for armor. Theres no need to make a seperate armor slot to equip pants.

I've only played witch and archer, but I didn't really notice the lack of pants on any other characters due to the fact that I think it fits with the theme of the game. You are an exile of the state, wearing nothing but filthy rags. The templar especially looks like it was influenced by Greek culture, as stated in the thread. So I don't think it an issue. More of a thing that makes this game more unique.
