Is there something GGG has against pants/leg wear?

You have a nice customization so far, but i have to ask why no pants?

Armor seems to be based loosely off of the Greek style, much like TQ. Some higher level armors do have pants, or at least go down to the knee allowing boots to cover the rest.

I think they are saving pants for endgame.

seriously. i had a templar untill i found out i was gonna be playing a old man without pants for the entire game!

Yes, it's a combination of limiting the number of item slots that can be used/need to be programmed, thus limiting the number of potential abilities a charater can have, and the fact that some of the suffixes and prefixes attached to magical items when applied to either end of the name of a pair of pants would be downright lewd.
There is a fine line between genius and insanity, I have erased that line and replaced it with a trout.

I picture the devs sitting at the office without pants playing pantless characters thinking "I have a feeling we missed something".

Another thread mentioned something along the lines of this (I forget where it is, unfortunately), and if I remember right, eventually the body armor includes lower body wear after a certain tier?
