The hype train becomes Titanic, 3.9 is a huge failure.

The hype train has derailed, the atlas is a total mess, the new bosses have no flavor, the story is messed up, the visual effects are even boring, only al hezmin remains pretty cool.
It even looks like it was done on purpose, what is called artistic suicide, conscious or unconscious.
In short, 3.9 is a huge failure and it pains me a lot, if you think it's wickedness or toxicity and well it's the opposite: I can't believe it.
The prices of mtx are absolutely outrageous. It's a shame. The new packs are even ugly! unbelievable !
Playing an evasive character is almost mission impossible if you want to make the best maps with it.
Oh I know, the ladder is full of guys lvl 99 ssf hardcore, congratulations to them, but I don't give a damn thank you , I want a normal video game with neat artistic direction and a captivating story.
You have locked yourself in your hellish circle of fragments, sockets etc ... please get us out of this gulag.
To finish in addition to disappointing us, the ugly awesome game has disastrous performances, lags and loads in abundance, quite simply ashamed.

No it's not. It's just seems popular of late to trash it rather than play the game.

Once my freeze/lag issues got quashed, I am enjoying the hell out of this league.

I see a lot more disappointment than usual, the atmosphere is strange as if we had just hit this f..ing iceberg, because I know that there are always people unhappy with this or that thing but also always hype and let's be honest I haven't seen hysterical outbursts of joy from streamers or things we can usually see with a huge update.
It is rather the opposite, the mappers were immediately shocked and the docile player defended the game laconically without argument.

is there more whining than usual or the same? Knowing that it is a HUGE EXPANSION? An update that was supposed to be very hype. So as usual or more? Colorful pastel areas, good ? click on your stash and press open atlas at the same time, knowing that it is a bit wobbly, because we do not see everything? good ?

Agreed with op on many points. Standard is a complete mess but the game is still fun.

Although mtx prices have always remained the same. Expensive. Which is ok in my book, as items need to feel exclusive and it somehow works in their sustainable revenue stream for the hard work they put into this free game.

I too miss a traditional ARPG. Hoping Blizz truly hits a home run with D4.
