[Challenge] Baran's conditional challenge bugged?

For me, on one try, I killed Baran without stepping on any runes but did not get the achievement when he dies. However, I received the failure message when I walked to the tower and stepped on the rune after he's dead.

On the next try, I made sure to wait till the runes disappear before walking over but did not get the challenge. There was never a failure notification too.

If both tries for me are similar with one receiving the failure message when I step on a rune after Baran is dead, I think there is a bug somewhere.

If you receive a failure message, you may leave, open a new map, and spawn him again for another 3 encounters. Baran's influence does not disappear when you fail the citadel run. It's probably best if you can do it with the quest still on so it's easy to spawn.

Still bugged. Killed him now while lighting up every Rune and not stepping on any, still no credit.

Ah I understand why I dont get the achivement now..

I'll just add my name to the list of people for who it doesn't work.

Same problem with the challenge here. It sucks even worse that this is the last challenge out of the 36 that I can't just go out and get.

Also tried this with a friend where I stayed outside throughout the fight and he did all the tiles, still no completion, so you can't even cheese it. Either it just doesn't work past the story quest or something else is broken.

Just tried one without any movement skills, including cyclone. Still not completed.
