[Challenge] Baran's conditional challenge bugged?

Didnt get the challenge either. Tried it 3 times already. Every time it should have worked but it didn't. Even tried to let him finish his talking and wait for another 2 minutes of silence before leaving the area.
My atlas is awakened btw.

No, the arena is never filled fully at once with mana runes. Usually 4-10 squares are filled at a time, You just have to wait a few rounds of it till all was mana runed once in that given try.

And You need an unawakaned atlas for this, otherwise it is bugged and not completes anymore later.

Just to confirm, the successful challenge text pops up immediatelly on Baran's death when it is successful, no waiting, no altar touching, nothing is needed.

I can only propose the same for You what I did: found a player with an unawakened atlas with His first ever Baran fight and did this challange there (on a level 70 area) after waiting weeks for the patch.

Whelp most likely won't be able to hit 36 due to this bullshit since I won't have anymore time to play due to irl stuff. It's cool how people plan their schedule around this game, just to be fucked by a known gamebreaking bug that got ignored for nearly a month.

Had the same issue twice, thought I was crazy until I saw this thread. Posting because this didn't make the list of things they are working on this week!

So many Barans dead already, and this one challenge is not counting. Tho in my case it was done in second try, but just runes not gone after fight and Barans being won, so been teleported right on mana square.

The rest times were my fault.
But can say what flame dash distance is lower than rune size (or its hitbox too much, dunno). May be this matters too against failing so much. May be need to try without flame dash tho.

After patch u can remove ur watchstone gems even if the area green/blue/red/yellow , so i just did 0 awake level and kill that F!@#!@# baran, dunno, maybe it will help someone
