Shaper 68 million hp

The people complaining about this are missing a massive part. This was about balancing it, not making it more difficult. People can get so powerful there was someone who had enough damage to one shot almost three Shapers at once.

There's nothing they could do to make it more challenging when literally any build can get millions of DPS. Other than add a massive amount of invulnerability and phases, which would be way worse.
Need a new signature, cuz name change. I dunno though. I guess this seems fine. Yeah, this is good.
If they made him harder, that's good. Shaper died way too easy last league, I had low budget weapons, about 20 chaos, and Shaper melted really fast. Plus a few people who have never played the game made it all the way through and beat him. He's supposed to be the end game boss, it should require some effort.

The only joke is playing some cheap gacha arpg 8-12 hours a day every day like some 'jokers' in this thread.

so you're telling me shaper is still pretty easy for the fully optimized characters in standard with legacy gear and crafts?

I get OP's point. People who melted Shaper before will still melt him, just a bit slower. People who struggled with Shaper before will get absolutely rekt. Not ideal.

The game is not really harder. All this nerf did was increase separation between top tier builds and everyone else.

And it is going to have the exact opposite effect. People are going to go more glass cannon to make up the difference. The game has become the robotron2084 of ARPGs.


They've been nerfing defensive skills for several successive leagues now, so there's no surprise that glass cannons are becoming the objectively better build.

This is what happens when you balance character defences around the half-dozen players who can get below 6k depth in Delve.

Uh... there are literally thousands and thousands of different game mechanics to make bosses difficult in video games.

Surely a handful of them are adaptable to ARPGs to make boss fights more meaningful than this boring, phoned-in "balance" change.
Shaper fight is so easy they can give it 2 bilions HP and people will do it with one hand.

If you got rekt by Shaper in current state of the PoE its just your own fault. Shaper was a joke gifht for a very long time, you could pick pretty much any skill, put 10c gear on it and kill Shaper w/o any problems.
