Weeks? Even at 0q it usually takes me at most a week to level an entire weapon-swap worth of Enlightens once I'm at t16 maps/level 83 delve.

" They won't reduce the XP requirement. It's meant to be a grind. So if you are unable to put in the amount of time needed to level up those gems, then either trade for one, or build around not having it. Asking for them to change it because IRL gets in the way of playing the game is pretty selfish. I can't play 8+ hours per day either and have personally only leveled up 4 or 5 of these types of gems ever but you don't see me wanting them to change it. |

Learn the basics of how and why builds work. You’ll notice quite quickly there is always an alternative option to every situation. You “need” a L4 Enlighten? Okay, you can either get a L4 or a L3 in corrupted +1 gem gear. Maybe you could swap 1 aura out for something with less reservation or even just drop something. Use xyz gear with mana reservation built in. Try a corrupted jewel with 1% reduced reservation. Pick up more reservation on the tree. In 3.8 I used a L5 Enlighten, but had I chosen to invest 4 passives on the tree I could have completely freed up the gem slot. Much more expensive, but only marginally more useful, and certainly not required.
If you think you can casually play a build a streamer effortlessly does in 2 days, you’re shooting yourself in the foot. That 2 days probably had 20-30 hours invested, and each hour will likely be at least twice as effective as when you play. Don’t even think about copying something they put 100-200+ hours in maxing, not unless you’re willing to invest just as much. Even half the builds on the forums tend to assume an elitist playstyle. |

The amount of time you need to level it up should transfer to more than enough currency to buy a lvl4 one. Focus on making currency will always better than focus on "farming" a specific item.
If your build can't do millions or hundreds of millions per hour, don't bother do it your self. There are people lvl from 1-100 (transfer to about 10 billion? xp w/ scaling?) in under 4 hours, just saying... |

" This whole debate is stupid, as neither is REQUIRED. Enlighten used to squeeze out as much potential as possible ( min/maxing). But in my mind NEEDING a Headhunter makes it a pretty garbo build. Think about it, it needs a 50 exalt belt to function. |

" Which is exactly my point. There are many builds that would love to use a headhunter, but they don't need it. As there are many builds that would like to use Enlighten lv4 but don't need it. When talking about REQUIRING something, one build archetype is known to NEED a headhunter because it's built around slowing time for your character and stacking the headhunter buffs during the whole map without them ever running out. But I don't know even one build for which an Enlighten lv4 isn't just icing on a cake. |
