Does the position of the color of the socket important for the link?

Example do i really need to have a GRRRRG or as long as you have 2G and 4R but not in position like RRGRGR?

The only time it might be important is if you're using a trigger support gem (such as cast when damage taken) as these will cast gems based on their order in the links. So if you're using a CWDT to cast desecrate (for corpses) & an offering, desecrate would need to be before the offering skill in the link in order to have the corpses spawn first before the offering skill consumes them.

Hey wait, i think about that a ton of times, the direction of activation is from left to right and from top to bottom, but if I put my cyclone in bottom, who is cast the first ? the desecrate who is at the top left or the offering who is above the cyclone following the path of the sockets?

L-R, top to bottom. For 4L and 6L items just follow the links

Triggered skills are applied in this order. If the condition is checked by the last gem in the sequence, it loops back up to the top; e.g. if you have temp chains, then frost blades, then curse on hit it will loop around from the bottom to proc temp chains.

Cyclone-cwc-desecrate: As long as desecrate is linked to cyclone via cwc, it can be anywhere in the socket set and it will proc. Any other skills linked to that same cyclone-cwc pair will also proc in accordance with the cooldown between triggered spells, in the order they are found in the set.

Cyclone isn't a spell, thus cannot be used with CWDT.

For me it's cast when channelling, so when the active skill (cyclone) is in bottom (number 5), the desecrate (number 1) will proc before the offering (number 4)? or the offering before because the link ?
