Ha! was called a "retard" for saying shapeshifting would be in poe

I'm hoping they also do some kind of "magic" shapeshifting like becoming a being of pure fire/cold/lightning and it buffs those skilltypes. Something like that would be awesome.

Melee is only bad in certain situations and what makes playing melee difficult is you can't avoid those situations, but shape shifting allows you to switch fluidly between melee and ranged. If done well this could allow you to get all the benefits of both play styles while opening up a huge number of tactical options to outplay mobs rather than out-gear them.
