I actually like this. They could institutionalize this sort of trading by creating two separate tabs: One for play groups and one for trading. Hell, there could be two for for trading. One for selling and one for buying.

It'd be like D2 trading, but a little more organized.

Yeah, the devs, the mods...the players. We're all more than aware of this situation, and it's been discussed and will continue to be discussed.

Given the devs know about it, there's really no need to continue posting about it. I appreciate the snark, but all it's going to do is drum up attitudes such as the one above, about which I received several complaints.

Here's the situation: some of us feel that this clutter of the party list is obtrusive and discourages true party play, and some of us feel that it's an industrious usage of the tools at hand. Both sides, of course, are right in their own way.

If GGG were to create a separate tab for 'trading parties', they'd also have to create a way for mods/Support to police that and ensure people are actually using that tab and not the real 'make a party' tab -- this is the same issue we're currently facing with Global vs Trade chat. We STILL, daily, shit, hourly, have to patrol global chat and ask people to use the trade chat when they try to trade in Global. A party/trade noticeboard division would be no better.

Be patient. The current trade setup is crap and temporary. GGG has plans for far less chat-based trading. Either they make good on that or, and I genuinely believe this, the lack of a stable, private trading situation will be instrumental in this game's failure.
