2 new character classes for 4.0 ! The Druid, the Minstrel, omg !!

2 new character classes for 4.0 !!

The druid, uses the forces of nature, with new shape shifting skills, summoning minions and vegetable traps.
The minstrel is master in the magic of waves and vibrations and uses musical instruments like lyres luths flutes drums horns to enchant the enemies or simply eradicate them with the help of various melodies, some of the skills are active "basic" attack or spell or some curse and some support ones.
This goes hand in hand with adding sublime and powerful uniques for the 2 classes as well as a musical instrument system like guild wars 2 to play music in town or in hideout and new auras, herald and golem.

These characters can be integrated into the current system, which would imply a redesign of the tree, or be end game characters unlockable, with their own quest and with their own tree, certainly more modest than the main tree, but allowing to make minus 4 different powerful builds with different mechanics by character optional class, druid and minstrel.
(labyrinth and ascendancy points are revisited, but that is for 3.9 !)

I'd be pretty hyped if they announced a bard. Druid would only be cool if they did it right though, like an actual druid, not some guy with animals. Active heals and forest magics would be awesome.

Edit: I've always loved druids, but I hated them in D2.
Need a new signature, cuz name change. I dunno though. I guess this seems fine. Yeah, this is good.

PoE has character classes?
Is this some fantasy of the OP or did they post something on reddit that hasnt made it here yet?
Not the first time I see you post about you wanting Druid to come to the game.
Most likely not happening. Hopefully not
Also they will be doubling the size of the skill tree and increasing the level cap to 200.

lel no but don't tell them xD
3.26 when?
Don't abandon us. don't turn your backs on the ones loving poe.
There won't be any new base classes, it's redundant anyway. But one new ascendancy for all base classes are possible as Tarke pointed out.

ive had an idea for ages that i dont think ive bothered posting about, but i think a more nature based dex specialisation would be cool.

i wasnt really thinking druid as such, more like a beastmistress, pet style minion based thing. Like a dex summoner focused on ranger, you have bears, wolves, bats, birds, rats, insect swarms, i think it would be cool, theres a whole design space there for skills, items, ascendancies, passives etc.

ill make a proper post about it some day.

I think shape shifting is cool too, thats come up before and i think theres legs in the idea.
I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)
TLDR:
Spoiler

There is a LOT wrong here, not least among them your portrayal of "a thing I thought of" as something announced or confirmed by GGG.

You also don't seem to get that the 7 characters we have are the natural distributions of the 3 base stats (Dex, Int, Str). So you can't just add two new characters randomly to that, you would have to add no fewer than SIX, each with their own set of unique/iconic ascendancies.

Your actual class ideas themselves are poorly conceived and not nearly fleshed out enough. I mean... Your druid idea is just a Sab-Necro Scion. You could literally do exactly that in POE right now, all you're asking for is a reskin of skeletons and zombies as animals and some traps that look more like plants. And your minstrel idea is just... no. Aside from the obvious issues of it being cartoony and ridiculous and not at all fitting with the tone and atmosphere of the game, you still aren't really giving a reason for the class to exist when your suggestions are all new skills, which would be usable on any class.

Also, there's not nearly enough in either option to even fill out one ascendancy, let alone the three you'd need to implement this into the game.

So... yeah. You seem to be mistaking POE for a totally different game, because your suggestions demonstrate a failure to understand probably the most basic POE feature of all: all active skills are items, not unique to any one class, so "a list of skills I want" is literally the exact opposite of a new class suggestion.
