Difficulty of Temple of Atzoatl
" But it make no sense. If the game let herself to set so many variables by breaking constant values - nothing might be known for player and all of those mods loosing any meaning becouse game even without them can be once hard and other time easy in the same map. It sound like manipulation. |

And yet that's it exactly... the design includes a combination of factors the player can know and control (e.g. the level of the temple and which rooms he chose to upgrade), things he can know but not control (e.g. which base rooms went into the particular instance of the temple), and things he cannot know about until they are already trying to kill him (e.g. which special monsters might spawn where).
If that feels like a bunch of evil developers playing head games with players, I think you're right - that's what developers get paid to do! I guess you have to decide whether you can enjoy playing that kind of game - not everyone can. Cheers |

" But in that case it denies of any logic and sens of playing it. Always a purpose of any game is to "achieve", be better, stay stronger or simply finish specific game. By braking what is fixed - game breaking everything what is a paradigm and those things what we are called "fairplay". By contrasting conslusion it is possible to say that it might happen situation when we will be able to die by fighting with lvl 1 monster when we will have lvl 100. It suggest that does not metter how we are playing, how good we are, how good equipement we have - becouse our progress in game will not depend on it but it depend on the game and if the game will let us go forward due to the factors/variables that we will be not able to verify but game can put to the game. Don't kill incursion bosses of dangerous rooms like the one that lowers elemental resistances if you are looking for a safer temple.
You can still do the incursions if there is nothing good to pick. |
