[3.13] HC/SC/SSF All Content Miner - Any Mine Skill - LL/CI - 12k ES w/ Videos!

i found myself getting popped in two or three hits by shaper guardians so i went back and looked at the tree, and PoB gives me about 12% phys damage reduction and 4% evade chance. (your tree shows 52% evade chance, but that's with the Enemy is Blinded condition and we have no source of blind anymore. i assume you used the ascendancy node at one point?) is this build just supposed to tank hits and ES leech to stay alive? vs fast attacks like chimera's flicker strike this seems like a really risky strategy, esp. when i have to wait for the mine throw animation in combat

Yeah, I wonder what the conclusion was for 3.13 in regards to Glacial Cascade. Planning on playing a miner as well and am not sure which skill to use, probably Glacial Cascade or Blazing Salvo.
@xan_ow CWDT + IC and Flesh and Stone (with the nice regen we get from Sab and natural mobility) were the two notable defensive layers but the latter had its mana reserve increased in the most recent patch. Try an endurance charge generating small cluster + increased duration in Immortal Call or even both and just find more reduced mana reserve to still fit Flesh and Stone. I think the high end map boss (t14+) and mob explosions from conqueror influenced maps can kill a lot of builds if you aren’t familiar, so just gritting used to those can go a long way.

well, aspect of the spider is recommended over flesh and stone in the OP and the PoB right? i know f&s has higher mana reservation now so it won't work anyway, but still, if i tried to fit in pre-patch f&s i would only have enough unreserved mana for 2 or 3 mines at most.

what i actually ended up doing was taking Born in the Shadows rather than Explosives Expert. having a much better time staying alive and i haven't really noticed much change in terms of dps

Yeah, these are currently my favourites aswell. Especially, because I don't like the aesthetics of BL.

GC is probably my favourite looking and sounding skill but I don't wanna prevent myself from bossing early. With lots of gear GC will be good enough, no doubt. So basically im just looking towards which is the fastest mapper and bosskiller with leaguestart levels of gear invested.

Also most of the GC miners I checked at the end of ritual use an obviously harvest crafted helmet which we won't have avaliable this league.

@xan_ow
From 3.13 changes labeled read first in bold/colored:
“Last, the way that damage was moved around in the ascendency pretty much makes Demolition Specialist mandatory, which means dropping born in the shadows - a very large loss on the defensive end. Thus, I would recommend dropping aspect of the spider for Flesh and Stone (stone stance).”

+40% to Critical Strike Multiplier against Burning Enemies
80% increased Critical Strike Chance against Shocked Enemies
Damage Penetrates 10% Elemental Resistances against Chilled Enemies

Just too much to give up IMO since they dropped “Nearby enemies are blinded” from Born in the Shadows

Hey all! Need help

I am leaning towards a glacial cascade miner league starter. I am hoping it has the ability to map clear and boss kill and entry gear levels to farm up some currency.

Does glacial cascade or blazing salvo appear to be the top dog for 3.14?
Have miners been nerfed that will hinder their older league starting potential while still being capable of performing at a high ceiling by clearing all content?

If not any other league starter suggestions?

I usually league start to red maps/ kill bosses to farm currency then invest everything in a broken build like impale flicker strike in heist league I played

I’m not super familiar with miner, I played one many many patches a go.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Howdy! I'll be glad to give my input on this and just what I've noticed in the community, it is that Blazing Salvo seems to be more the go to, of these options. I have also league started with Glacial Cascade mines and it doesn't feel great. Disclaimer of course, I am currently just over lvl 70 or so with very basic gear (few chaos worth spent) but do have a cheap 6 link chest. I haven't played Blazing Salvo so can't comment from experience, just what I'm seeing in research and playing GC. I've been out for a couple leagues but I always main a mine build / try some different ones out with any currency I have toward league end.

To all reading this guide, I just want to give a shout out and thanks to BeerLeague for creating it and updating it when possible. This guide is awesome!!! It helped me a ton when I was a complete noob in Delirium, found that I enjoyed mines, and have since been able to come up with some alterations and different things to test from his base guide and build.
Trying to follow this guide but oh man does this seem like a mess. There was not much thought in the overall layout of this guide and one of the hardest things for me to follow is the gems and links. In the PoB there are 4 total gems specified for going to weapon two/shield, not sure what the reasoning is for this as it's not explained. As someone who has played for a while followed different builds this one has not been easy and at this point I'm considering giving up on my BL miner. The damage is weak and I'm certain I've messed up the passive tree tremendously at this point and lack the currency to correct a lot of my mistakes.

Hey man,
I'd like to preface this with: I'm not an expert on Ball Lightning Miner's, this too is my first league trying one out. With that said after scouring poe.ninja and doing skill tree heat map comparisons and reading through this guide about 30 times I think I can make some suggestions:

1. This is the Skill Tree you want: https://pastebin.com/MyTGJhTB

Note: If you look at my character you'll notice I'm not using this skill tree. I'm using the older version of the skill tree and I'm currently saving up a little currency to swap to the skill tree I posted above. After working it out in POB this skill tree has a nice chunk more damage than the classic version

2. Gems (Low Life)

Spoiler
6 Link - Ball Lightning Setup
* Ball Lightning
* Trap and Mine Damage Support
* Swift Assembly Support
* Slower Projectiles Support
* High Impact Mine Support
* Lightning Penetration Support / Awakened Lit Pen

Main Hand 3 Link - Arrogance Auras
* Precision (Keep this low level, you only have so much life you can reserve)
* Clarity (Keep this low level, you only have so much life you can reserve)
* Arrogance Support (Level this is as high as you can get it. You'll be limited by strength requirements here so don't sweat it too much. Mine is like level 6 or so right now)

Offhand - Prism Guardian Auras
* Wrath
* Zealotry
* Discipline

4 Link - More Auras
* Summon Skitterbots
* Enfeeble
* Blasphemy Support
* Enlighten Support (You can manage with a level 2 enlighten but you won't be able to lay all 19 mines if you're running Aspect of the Spider. Level 3+ is recommended)

4 Link - Movement Skill
* Flame Dash
* Second Wind Support
* Faster Casting Support
* Arcane Surge Support (Keep this a low level (3) otherwise you'll be too tight on mana to be able to flamedash)

4 Link - CWDT Setup
* Immortal Call (Or whatever defense skill you like)
* Cast When Damage Taken Support
* Flex slot (I don't have anything currently in these slots. I'm just using it to level up enlightens)
* Flex slot

3. Gear - His gear section is on point.

4. Is this build viable in 3.14?
I'm level 91 right now and I can say the clear speed on T16 maps is good and the boss damage is great even with the gear I have. T16 ultimatums have been doable depending on the map mods. I still probably RIP about 30% of the time but it's usually because I'm running a RIPPY map to begin with.

In my experience this is not a cheap build if you're looking to one-shot pop bosses. I've got about 30ex invested and there's still probably another 30ex or so more to go before I match his gear in POB. This build is squishy up until you get a good chunk of ES and the Machina Mitts / Bottled Faith. I'm up to 400+ deaths as I type this but it has been steadily slowing down as I've sunk more currency into the build.

I found that I could comfortably run up to T11-T12 with the CI gear setup he recommends but the maps were slow at this this tier and I was getting hit pretty hard. T9-T10 is probably what you want to be running without going low life and you should be able to just crush those maps. Prior to boosting my damage and going low life I could not do any Ultimatums reliably.

If you have any other questions DM me or message me in game if you see me online.
