Should the Delve difficulty scaling be inverted?
" Something tells me you've never actually tried delving to depth 1000+, or even LOOKED at someone who tried delving that deep. It's all currency, fossil, and city nodes down there. There aren't any fundamentally new rewards but the total return is INSANE in comparison. Yeah, sulphite costs go up for a while, too, but even that caps at 1,100 per unit at depth 827. Keep going after that and you get better rewards for nothing except more difficulty. |

Glass cannons are fun, creative and should be encouraged.
But so should tanks or balanced builds! I never build glass cannon myself, but I'm happy for delving to be a place where those builds shine. I'm also happy for glass cannon builds to be really good in lots of content lots of the time, and sometimes they just go pop. 3.8 is the first league where I've felt rewarded for investing in defence. I actually think the tree, gem and item changes have been a boon for those, like myself, wishing to give up DPS for a more relaxed playstyle. Delve is tiresome by depth 100, so I doubt I'll ever go past 250. No rewards are worth that level of boring grind for me. But why not let others who enjoy it build specialist delve builds? |

" Indeed it does (with the exception of Tangled Fossil). Each of these nodes would contain one of the following - Hollow Fossil - Fractured Fossil - Faceted Fossil - Bloodstained Fossil - Glyphic Fossil - Tangled Fossil |
