Why is the Scion the worst?
Scion requires a bit more thinking and planning than other builds. Especially with the ability to allocate passive points from other starting areas.

There is a reason you cannot select a Scion as your first character.

You can copy a build for sure. My point was that GGG made it so you had to 'rescue' the Scion first before actually playing her because she is the most complicated.

And if you are just starting out I am of the opinion that you should try your own build to better learn the game. You will learn game mechanics much better if you try and fail yourself than just copy/pasting a build.
This is the perfect league to be a brainless necromancer.

Go for it, you're welcome (you start with Witch for that).

Actually most necros are one of the few build types that get plagued by the holy trinity of not having enough keybinds, not enough action buttons and not enough sockets. While you can make a brainless necro just like any other build and basically glide your way to T9 +/- maps, you will hit a brick wall. Then again that really applies to all builds.
But by no means a necro build is brainless or new player friendly, at least not in PoE.

As for the @OP - don't use a premade build if you just started, check website for info on ascendancies, pick the one you feel like your gonna enjoy the most, and just build your character around it.
By using a prebuilt build you will learn nothing, you'll just follow a basic guide, the character will work, but why or how you will have no idea, so it won't teach you anything (remember, PoE is a game who's spreadsheets have spreadsheets)
No rest for the wicked.

You should really take some time and simply learn how to play the game. Try to discover stuff on your own for a while.

Simply following a build guide for your first character is really going to take a lot of the fun away.
You should choose between the Marauder, Witch or maybe the Templar to begin with usually.
Those are usually the better ones to start out with when learning the basics of the game.

EDIT: And yes, by all means. Do not be afraid of the trial and error way, on your own. Just may be one of the better ways to actually learn this game.
And may also be the way you will get some really nice surprises you never ever expected that existed in this game.
