You know, if someone came up to me with these concepts I'd probably greenlight them too.

these effects do not match the game and environment.

now every single bad idea the graphic artist come up with gets greenlighted.

learn how to tell the art department NO.

The portals look sooooo goooodddd

Pros:
Attention to Detail
Clean Animations

Cons:
Bright over saturated palette
Doesn't fit Path of Exiles dark and foreboding atmosphere
Can be an eyesore in busy towns

If they looked more like in the concept art.. The artist who made it in to a 3d lost in the process the charm/appeal it had in the concept, imho. The concept looks dark creepy and cool the final product doesn't..

I've noticed it to some degree in other mtx concept arts but here it feels the most intense, maybe if it was closer to the concept there was less hate towards it.

Anyway, feels like people jump in on the hate train a little bit more than needed, they do listen to our opinion as a community..

Carnival .... because we're in October, amiright ? :>


Seems out of place regarding the game and the season => boring imo.

That said some of the pieces of arts do look kind of good.
