I am just pointing out that annointing items hardly makes anything meaningful(outside of standard leagues) become irrelevant to begin with. Which is why, I think that it kind of makes sense in the case of permanent leagues but then .... it's permanent leagues, and we don't even know if annointing will make it to the core game, but not really in the case of temporary leagues. it's already core game. they can do it in standart from HC RIP. I think that thing is also breaking the fun about " vaal or no balls ". why ? because you keep amulets for anointment instead of vaaling. ain't "vaal or no balls" one of the best things in the game ? I agree with the op, and I think we will see more of this enchanting different slots as time moves on, I think this system should work on top of corrupted/mirrored items with an additional hefty cost in vaal orbs (and maybe a mirror shard?) same way the existing master bench can modify corruptions at a cost in vaal orbs.
