[3.8 FINAL] 🔥 Infernal Beastlord 🔥 / SpectreWIKI

Concept:
"
Use 1x Wicker Man Unrighteous Fire+Ignite+Inernal Legion Support Gem to melt packs and bosses. Also opens up a new wave of weird Spectres that could be used as a backup/utility.

So this build is for you if you are interested trying different spectres and see how you can adapt this build for your own playstyle. Only mandatory is 1x Wicker Man because Infernal Legion and Unrighteous Fire and Ignite stack, as they are different sources of Burning Damage.

Update: I've found that best way to play this build is to have that helmet for 1x spectre of your choosing that will burn monsters (preferably wicker man for that ~500k Shaper DPS burn damage).

I will not be updating this build anymore, i might make one video of me killing shaper with Overgrown Rat just to show it is easy with the damage we get out from that gem! I will still propably keep updating the SpectreWiki below so keep checking that out!

"
Pros:
+Quick Clear Speed
+Can Utilize Any Spectre
+Hours and Hours of Tinkering Your Gear/Gems/Passives (if you want)
+Immunity to Elemental Ailments (Ignite, Freeze/Chill, and Shock)
+It is easily changed to something more classical Minion Build
+Cheap at start, expensive after (like 80% of builds)
+Can complete all maps, even hall of Grandmasters (it is unpleasant but doable)
+If you really want, you can use META spectres if you want to rickroll all maps.
Cons:
-PoB Effective Shaper dot-dps Wickerman (~500k Unrighteous Fire+Infernal Legion+Ignite)
-Keep Moving or you are asking for trouble (endgame)
-Niche build
-Min-Maxing expensive (+1 spectre body armours are expensive!)
-Need alot of Life for survivability
Playstyle:
Spoiler
"
You'll be using a lot of Quartz(Phasing) Potion, Quicksilver Potion, and Bonearmor Skill(=Remove Bleed+HP-Pool) from the Ascendancy. So with Convocation as your Mouse1(movement) start running through the packs and watch them burn in pain. I would also suggest crafting an Eternal Mana Flask with Curse Removal and Flask Effect is Not Removed at Full Mana. Convocation helps to keep your Legion always close to you or you can decide to manually press it when it is needed.

Against stronger monsters & bosses you'll want to use Storm Brand linked with Curse On Hit and Flammability/Elemental Weakness/Despair for more Damage. Storm Brand also triggers Elemental Equilirium So do check that you are not doing Fire Damage!!!. If you feel that your Arsonist's are not doing enough damage you can send your wave of hard hitting Zombies with Deathmark support to help their brethren.

You also will be trolling around with Malevolance (DoT Aura), Skitterbots ("Free" Shock and Chill), Summon Carrion Golem, and a Damage Boost/Utility/Elemental Ailments Immunity Bot = Animate Guardian and if you are in trouble you have your Flame Dash for quick escape.

Alternative Playstyle:

Drop the Malevolance aura to something else that support your chosen Spectres. I've lately been using Harbinger Worshipper (COLD Version) so i'm using either Hatred or Zealoth aura. My Zombies Infernal Legion and Carrion Golem still melts trash mobs almost as fast as before. Otherwice playstyle should stay a pretty much same, just keep running!

"
Additional Notes
Some Ideas how to utlize for different playstyles!

Defense:
A) Classic But Now With Clear Speed
How about running 4 (or 3) Undying Evangelist's(those bubble shield guys) + 1 Wicker Man = Ultimate Defense (use Meat Shield to keep them close to you)
Also
you can now convert the Physical Spell Damage to Fire and boost it with Elemental Equilibrium.

Offense:
A) Classic
Any high hitting Melee Spectre (Tukohama's Vanguards or Cannibal Fire-Eaters), before you had to sacrifice clear speed for high single target now you can clear trash and have an amazing single target in one great package.

B) El Projectilo Classico
If you want to trollstomp bosses, maps, and everything you can by choosing spectre of your liking (ex. Risen Vaal Advocates or Solar Guards). You still want to have some Degen?, then use Infernal Legion with zombies.

C) Daredevil
Try some Webbed Spiders with Flicker Strike and buff those guys with Frenzy Charges from King of the Apes.

D) Experimental
How about going full silent/no mtx mode with Blackguard Stalkers are rekt all mobs without that rgb splash everyone is after? If stealth you are after, well.. try these!

Or there is also some weird Icetrappers that do have potential!
More on them on "spectreWIKI" below.

Support:
Be a support bot for party, get 1x Ruins Hellion for that nice 10s Damage Buff and also Less Damage Taken Debuff?(if that works), maybe add some Apes for Frenzy and Power Charges.

Spectres:(Shaper DPS (Effective DPS))
Spoiler

"
Wicker Man is the only mandatory spectre others you can experiment with and decide which works best for your playstyle.
Wicker Man ("Bearface")
Spoiler

- Unrighteous Fire (Unique Wicker Man Own DeGen Aura)
- Molten Strike (pretty decent Skill for Ignite)
- Normal Attack also strong

Stygian Silverback (King of The Apes)
Spoiler

- Mass Frenzy (Gives frenzy charges = More Damage)
- PoB DPS: ~50k "+" Infernal Legion (doesn't stack with other spectres)
TIP: Possibly add this to second setup once you go lvl 31 Spectre Gem Setup, and make it use Blood Magic for more Frenzy Charges.
https://poedb.tw/us/mon.php?n=Stygian+Silverback

Ruins Hellion (Hell Hound)
Spoiler

- Rallying Cry (Inspiring Cry/Hellion Cry)=Increased Damage
- (less damage taken??)
TIP: This is not necessary i just kinda like the interaction and taunting.
https://poedb.tw/us/mon.php?n=Ruins+Hellion
(there is no Ruins Hellion in PoB, i used Dune Hellion instead)

Cannibal Fire-Eater (Alternative to Tukohama's Vanguard)
Spoiler

- Huge Single Target Damage
- Huge Small AoE DPS
TIP: I use this with same gem-setup as Wicker Man and other Infernal Legion Beasts

https://poedb.tw/us/mon.php?n=Cannibal+Fire-eater

Tukohama's Vanguard (Alternative to Cannibal Fire-Eater)
Spoiler

- Scorching Ray Totem (nice Dps And nice debuff included)
- -25% Resistance
- 60% Increased Damage for Each Stage (PoB doesn't calculate that???)
TIP: You coul'd use this as a Fifth Spectre or..

https://poedb.tw/us/mon.php?n=Tukohama%27s+Vanguard

Undying Evangelist (For Defense)
Spoiler

- These guys are old as time itself, and been loved by many for their defense capabilities.
- Their bubble is literaly a shield that is unpenetratable outside of its area.
- They also have Delayed Physical Spell "Blast" skill which with Triad Grip could be used with Elemental Equilibrium increasing the damage potential of that skill too
https://poedb.tw/us/mon.php?n=Undying+Evangelist

WIP Experimental (SpectreWiki)
Lunar Devotees / Harbinger Worshipper (COLD Version)
Spoiler

- Very Interesting Cold Trap Skill(IceRune) (That seems to act more like a spell than a trap..)
- Damage Potential? with Skitterbots /thinking & testing/
- Only found in Beachhead Unique Map and only in Arena Room, the others found in that map are Lightning Version and they have less interesting Lightningstorm("firestorm") skill.
- These are a bit slower at clearing trashmob but bossDPS seems decent for now (as i do not have best setup for them YET).

this is how the skill looks
https://poedb.tw/us/mon.php?n=Harbinger+Worshipper

Defiled Extractor
Spoiler

- Bad Damage?
- Interesting Geometry Circular Saw -Ability (Physical Damage, might inflict bleeding.. needs more testing)
- I'm only interested if i can utilize that skill against bosses
https://poedb.tw/us/mon.php?n=Defiled+Extractor

Webbed Spider
Spoiler

Spider with Celestial Skin, these have normally Bonewhite Skin
- Very interesting Web Skill (Spider itself gets Speed?)
- Non Desecratable, found as an Alpha Spider surrounded by Leaping Spiders
- Also has Flicker Strike with 110% damage multiplier, 30% Attack Speed and 10% Attack Speed Increased per. Frenzy Charge
- Last founded in Dark Forest Map (RNG?)
- DPS Well seems decent at least better than those Overgrown Rats
https://poedb.tw/us/mon.php?n=Webbed+Spider

Raise Spectre Setup
Spoiler

"
Highest DOT Potential
These gem's are pretty obvious there is possibility to use elemental focus instead of concentrated effect/burning damage/swift affliction, it depends if you care about the Wicker Man's possibility to inflict Ignite or not!
"
Alternative Setup, better for only one Raise Spectre 6-link setup
With this kind of setup you are able to benefit more on the random spectre's damage(s) you are running with. With lvl 21 Raise Spectre Gem + lvl 4 Empower + a +1 Level of All Raise Spectre mod in boots, and of course bow with +1 to Socketed Gems and crafted with +2 Support Gems, you will unlock additional Spectre (Fifth or Sixth depending if you have Body Armour with +1 Raised Spectre mod = This is the Endgame Goal of This Build)

"
This is propably the ideal setup for Single Wicker Man.

If you are made out of money you could try to find helmet with minion damage support instead of concentrated effect!

This way Infernal Legion will get additional +4 levels which means it does 2378 base damage per second!!!

Aura's
Spoiler
"
Suggested Aura:
Skitterbots for that nice Shock = 20% More Damage and Chill = 10% Slower Enemies

"
Maximize the potential of Damage Over Time:
Malevolence Aura Gem for that nice Increased Damage Taken on Damage You and nearby allies deal (14-20)% more Damage over Time

"
Alternative choice for Malevolence Aura:
This one depence what spectres you choose to run with Zealotry is good all arounder for that nice Spell Damage and Critical Chance for allies = minions

Elemental Equilibrium
Spoiler
"
Stormbrand + Curse On Hit + Curse of your choosing (Flammability/Elemental Weakness/Despair) Double Curses are always better if you have that possibility!

Leveling:
Spoiler
Better Way Level Up The Build:
Spoiler
Use Skitterbots linked with Infernal Legion, and maybe with Burning Damage Support(Why not Minion Damage Support well it has mana multiplier of 130%, Burning Damage Support "only" has 120%). Then You can also use any other skill to boost damage, i would still use Raging Spirits as they will benefit from Minion Damage nodes.

They also have Natural Immunity To Damage so you don't need to worry about the Infernal Legions 40% fire damage degen. Skitterbots also Shock for an additional 20% more damage(~24% when leveled to 20) and Chill for Reducing Enemy Attack Speed by 10% (~14% when fully leveled to 20).

You could also level up classic style by using Spark, Icicle Mines, Fire Totem, or any skill that has some area damage for clearing that tedious 'tutorial' = Act1-10!

TIP: Keep other gems in secondary weapon setup so you can level them up, i would suggest leveling Extra Raise Spectre, Empower, and Infernal Legion, as you are gonna want to try Vaal them to lvl 21! Minion Damage Support Gems, also Infernal Legion Support will benefit from 20% Quality (20% Reduced Fire Damage Taken)

The Way I Leveled:
Spoiler
I used Spark before hitting higher level, then switching gears once i found better, then level up to 80+ with mon'treguls grasp.

Mont'reguls Grasp with Zombies and Wickermen to get nice combo splash. Wickermen burn packs to low health and Zombies finish whole pack in one hit. Also while leveling use the Infernal Legion only with Raging Spirits, you can try to use Secutor Helmet and that minion amulet that gives about 4% regen to your minions.

After you've unlocked enough jewel sockets in your passive start socketing 0.8 minion regen ghastly eyes there (also try to get those jewels with flat life yourself)

(Forget the gems 'im leveling them' as i changed to 6link shortbow setup)

DONT USE THESE GEMS, I ONLY FOUND THIS TABULA AS AN EXAMPLE
Tabula Rasa as your 'cheap' 6-link for wickermen (you can use these 'short bow' support gems and change empower to elemental focus/feeding frenzy (empower actually might not be worth it, so use Ele Focus instead)-

(i fuck'd up my bow by accidently forgot removing accuracy roll)

Necessary Gear:
Spoiler
Stack a lot of Life and get Unending Hunger Jewel bigger is always better ;), also you propably either want Porcupine Short Bow and roll a +1 socketed gems and then get +2 support gem crafted on it (for maximum damage on Infernal Legion) or you could always buy or craft shaped +3 minion helmet.

You will also need at least 5-6 Abyssal Jewels with Minions Regenerate 0.6-0.8% Of Life Per Second Jewels! This is important, you really want to keep your Infernal Beast(s) alive so you need to overcome the self-harm degen effect of Infernal Legion Support. (I have 9.1% Life Regen on my minions and if they are harmed they can also heal themselves if needed)

If you are in trouble getting enough regen for your minions there are Bubonic Boots and i highly suggest getting or crafting a GOOD Stygian Belt so you can get one more socket for minion regen Ghastly Eyes!

Here is a quicklink to my reply, which has additional help/guide if needed:

The burning damage does not stack. The mobs probably die due to RF which is more powerful and the further one probably die to Infeenal Legion due to its large radius.

Stupidsmile Ultimate SRS Minion Instability Build
I'm pretty sure burning damage DOES stack, as long as it doesn't come from the same source. So Unrighteous fire + infernal legion damage will both apply - maybe someone smarter can correct me. I have theorycrafted an elementalist "dot" build with Infernal Legion on Flame golem, Chaos aura Chaos golem, Wicker Man Unrighteous fire and Tukohama's Vanguards just for fun, but unfortunately i do not have too much time to play nowadays to see it in action - maybe in few weeks. What i did not know is the fact that Chaos Golem aura has a cooldown - i was hoping for original summoner with 4 different dots which are active 100% of the time, but my dreams got crushed a bit :)

I'm afraid that space will be run out soon on my build page so i'm gonna be adding Experimental Spectres in this post instead!

W.I.P. Experimental (SpectreWiki)
Moontouched Zealot / Harbinger Worshipper (cold)
Spoiler

- Very Interesting Cold "Trap" Skill(IceRune) (That seems to act more like a spell than a trap..)
- These have potential but i'm having some lag issues with these bad girls!
- Harbinger ones are found in unique beachhead and the others are fround in lunaris temple 1, there is no difference on these two spectres except name!
- These are a bit slower at clearing trashmob but bossDPS seems decent for now (as i do not have best setup for them YET).
- These do work with Spell Echo but mine/trap support gems i cannot confirm.. (pretty sure these girls dont work with trap gems)
- If it is a trap the "reverseicetrap" propably means that it triggers instantly? because unlike undying incinerators which you see them throwing traps, with the girls iceflower just appears on the ground
- btw these girls have some groove on them, they keep dancing in your hideout!

This is how the ReversedIceTrap looks like in game

Harbinger Worshipper (Lightning)
Spoiler

Using same pic as COLD Version the differences are that Lightning Version has her hands glowing in electrocity instead of frosty effect. I also have not found their "normal" counterpart in the regular acts.
- They have one skill and basic melee "wand attack"
- Their "HarbingerCannibalLightningStorm" is very interesting skill but has a lot of drawbacks. It has a long cooldown, it's duration is also very short. So to make it work you would propably need to have Increased Duration Support Gem added to the setup. Storm skill does have decent damage but the short duration kinda makes it useless.
- Because the drawbacks of their "main" skill they tend to use melee a lot.
- Interestingly you could build up an army that has THREE different firestorms for something very memeworthy spectrebuild!
https://poedb.tw/us/mon.php?n=Harbinger+Worshipper

Lunar Devotee / Harbinger Puppet
Spoiler

- Very interesting Cold Spectre
- 2 Main Skills Cannibal_Icestorm & Cannibal_Lunaris_ProjectileArrow
- They also do have an summon "icyspiky minion" which is useless!!!
- Icestorm does amazing damage and is way better than the Cannibal Lightningstorm skill that Harbinger Worshippers Lightning version have (which has a low duration and long cooldown)
- Their projectile skill can be buffed with Spell, and Projectile support gems!
- Issues are that the projectiles are slow moving ones and have a somewhat terrible range but for Cassia they are pretty good!
- They are way slower at clearing than ReverseIceTrappers but the IceStorm is effective against bosses (i do run them with critical damage support and power charge ape)

https://poedb.tw/us/mon.php?n=Harbinger+Puppet
https://poedb.tw/us/mon.php?n=Lunar+Devotee

Defiled Extractor
Spoiler

- Bad Damage?
- Interesting Geometry Circular Saw -Ability (Physical Damage, might inflict bleeding.. needs more testing)
- I really tried but.. these guys are bad, if i could only get more of those circular saws to be thrown :(
https://poedb.tw/us/mon.php?n=Defiled+Extractor

Blackguard Stalker
Spoiler

There are two versions, the one with the cloak "the one you are after" and the other without cloak "are decent but you'll forget these guys after messing with the cloak guys"
- These "Cloak Stalkers" are so called "trappers" with crazy melee, and big dps..
- Claok Stalkers have two skills the one where they teleport and fuck shit up and the second trap ethereal knives thing
- Their skills are physical damage, which can be easily scaled or even change damagetype with triad grip gloves.
- There is some hidden potential in these bad boys, well i would say it is not that hidden.. oh lord allmighty hold my hands while i go mapping with these guys
- Negatives are that they are almost impossible to find, they are found in Oriath Square but once you complete that you can't find them in normal acts.
- Multistrike + Pulverize + Minion Damage + (Ruthless?) + any physical melee damage support gem you think fits it. These guys are amazing imho i would say that these might be the best Melee Spectres in the game if not best there is hard to find better physical melee spectre (+ with triad grip the sky is the limit)

- I want to add small notation for the "lesser" brother of the cloak stalker guy (well lets call those guys the "No Cloak Guys", they do have interesting "throwing dagger" skill that can be buffed with projectile supports and is not worthless but there are better alternatives
https://poedb.tw/us/mon.php?n=Blackguard+Stalker

Turong / Half-LizardCat (Found in Delve)
Spoiler

These beasts look like half cat and half lizard with pointy tail
-These beasts have "too" many skills
-Big Fireball Explosive that can shotgun (interesting but has a big cooldown)
-Smaller fireballs also look pretty decent but again there is no way to make them utilize only these two
-They also have this tail slash which they try to do too often

-If you wanna go full memelord then, these are great way to do it and also have some decent damage becausde of the shotgun mechanics-
-Spell Echo, Minion Damage, Any Additional Projectile support, and your choice of damage supports (interesting mechanic is with Sire of Shards and Volley, try it and go full memelord)
https://poedb.tw/us/mon.php?n=Turong

Gorgol Alpha
Spoiler

Similar to Turong but instead more close close/medium range version
- These are melee with interesting Tornadolike skill which stays on the ground
-Also flamethrower skills looks to be pretty decent but as with the Turongs these guys have too many skills in rotation
-Not sure what supports to use with these guys, interesting anyway try if you are bored
https://poedb.tw/us/mon.php?n=Gorgol+Alpha

Lithomancer
Spoiler

Interesting Physical Spell Aul Humanoids
- These are really interesting with only having Physical Projectile Spell skill with 150% damage effectiveness (there might be something here)
-Downside is that these are hard to summon as you need to first find Aul area which is (Primeval City) and can only be found after delve depth 173
- I need more testing for these but, all the normal projectile/spell supports should work with these guys

Baranite Preacher / (Found in Crusader Influence)
Spoiler

Has a very impressive Multizapper Lightning Ball Spell
- With Sire of Shards, Greater Volley, Spell Echo, has an amazing possibility to melt bosses, these balls of lightning will just eat everything alive.
- Negatives are that their Ball Lightning spell projectiles are slow moving, but you dont want to increase the speed either because you want them to zap as many times as they could.
- These do also have secondary skill which does great damage but has a long cooldown.
-These might be something special if correctly built upon.
https://poedb.tw/us/mon.php?n=Baranite+Preacher

Redemption Sentry (Found in Redeemer Influence)
Spoiler

Very impressive Area Spell Cold damage (which has a long cooldown) but also very strong cold projectile attack
- These are pretty great, but they lack the pierce/fork/chain projectiles, so they do have issues.
- These also have a spell mortar area damage skill which is interesting and seems to do great damage.
- These guys have a one advantage they do shoot fast and their projectiles go really fast so slower projectiles doesn't even feel like you are slowing them down at all.

I've got the gear, gems , tree, etc but ran into a problem. My wickerman spectre with infernal legion on it keeps dying even with max resists and almost 7% life regen. How did you keep yours alive or did you give up and put the infernal legion support on a different mob? The helmet's socketed gems have X supports really only work well with the wicker man vs say a carrion golem. Thanks for the info!

Last edited by mltryman on Oct 2, 2019, 8:38:12 PM
Hey thank you for being interested on this build and because of it i am gonna improve it tomorrow (adding more info how to keep your infernal beasts alive).

But for quick fix for you now. I have 9.1% Minion Life Regen, beasts propably could stay alive with 8% with 20% quality infernal legion. So easy fix for you is to buy/get yourself a Abyssal Belt with one socket get 0.8% Abyssal Jewel for it.

I also did check your passive tree there are couple Abyss Jewels that are not up for the task the one with 0.4% regen is not good enough, get at least 0.7%, and i would say that lower than 0.7% gem is not worth it!

But if you just wanna test this build there is also option to use

To get one more abyss socket (i would NOT invest on double socketed bubonic boots).

Here are my Abyssal Jewels (not the greatest, will improve on these too) but for an example!

Summon Carrion Golem is now on same chest as my zombies. Also you have very nice bow which spectres are you using with that setup?

(Don't look at my gems on my chest, it is a mess but it was only spot i had for testing power charge apes easily :))

Also if you feel that you need a little bit more defense this Amulet will improve your curses and will protect you for 10% of damage from hits!

Thanks for the quick reply!

I was planning on putting a raise spectre (wickerman) due to the support on the helm + socketed supports.

The bow is currently setup to have raise spectre (undying evanglist) and swap out spell echo for meat shield so they stay on me with the fancy prox shield but atm i'm using the bow for 2 UA's and 1 Wicker (had to move the carrion golem up to the helm for now so it's easy to re-summon once it dies from infernal legion).

I plan on upgrading the abyssal gems to +30 life / 0.7+ minion regen but those start to get to be a little pricey as they add up and I've already dropped 15ex on the bow and 1ex on the boots as is.

Upgrading the chest to a 6 socket is on the agenda (zombie - minion damage - feeding frenzy - elemental army - carrion golem) + flame dash last slot once the Wickerman can be slotted in the helm and stay alive.

After doing the math with just 9% minion regen, it comes out to a positive regen of almost 2k for the wickerman in the helm with infernal legion. Awesome! Thanks mate!

NOTE: my animate guardian is using a 10% max life as ES chest + mask of the stitched demon (instead of a leer cast) = 13% life regen on it's own before tree or abyss jewels for a total of 22% regen which is nuts and very handy since he's pulling all the elemental ailments to himself.

I already have a Jinxed Juju amulet but forgot to link it in the previous post.

I want to make quick reply i just checked the trade you can get minion lfie regen 0.7% jewels with life pretty cheap like 1 chaos, well those jewels are nothing to be amazed for but that is a cheap way to improve! At least change that 0.4%!

Well you could try put your Animate Guardian on your helmet if he has that much life regen! But Wicker Man will be the best because double degen aura!

EDIT: Yes The elemental Ailment thing is something you gonna love! If you are gonan try clearing hall of grandmasters (which i dont suggest) dont have your animate guardian on there. I did it but it was pain in the ass to finish, i had to resummon minions half the time :D

And if i can ask how do you like playing with the infernal legion support! and with the bubble guys?

In regards to using the combo of the bubble spectres with my setup. It's great as the meatshield support makes them stay with me ensuring that I'm in the bubble, immune to all damage outside of it except DoTs and ground based degen effects that I can just move out of and convocation them (and their bubbles) to me. Not that I use increased duration in the bow setup for these guys to boost the bubble from 8 seconds to 13.92 seconds. I'm not sure if some of the nodes that give +minion duration actually boost that as well but I doubt it. The cool down on it isn't to bad between procs.

Dps wise the golem + zombies with feeding frenzy makes them all aggressive and the elemental army not only helps boost their resistances and give mobs a -10 penalty to fire resist but it also boots their damage by 30% MORE (better than the often confused Increased) thanks to using 4 red socket Triad Grip (allowing all minions to do strictly fire via 100% conversion).

So all in all .... it's great synergy. Has saved my arse a number of times.
