I don’t think so. The last two leagues I played 100% uptime immortal call. I was 100% physical damage reduction always. Nearly the same build too. I changed this league because IC is now dumpster tier with changes.

i understand the preference for softcore in some cases though ; like people with lives and kids and busy jobs.

I doubt you forgot that others play softcore. And if you're looking for an answer, not everyone enjoys playing the easier parts of the game to avoid dying. This is your endgame challenges:



Notice what parts are at 0? I'm not knocking you but there is an entire portion of the game you're simply not playing. That's why people don't play hardcore.

I mean you're comparing the value of the armor to a league where you played a physical immunity build. In previous leagues you could've had 0 armor and it wouldn't make a difference. That same armor now is a huge deal. Especially against legion rares.

The other way to die is from elemental damage, which is more threatening and it doesn't help that juggs are not that great at dealing with it. But I'm pretty sure crits are not why they hurt so much. It's more that elemental threats come with bullshit shotgun-like effects. I typically gauge how often I get crit by looking at how often I get frozen, shocked, etc since I'm a lazy guy and don't pop flasks unless I'm actually dying.

I was going to say Uber Elder looks like an easy path. I also pulled a solid 75-80ex off of eyes during those runs. I did the abyss maps on t15s and ended up with enough t16s to finish the last 20 UE runs.

You're missing the point. I'm comparing it to my last few leagues as the control; and when you're 100% immune to physical, armor means nothing (as you've stated). So my deaths were from something other than physical damage.

That armor offers 2 things, Armor and no extra damage from crits. Armors already been stated as pointless compared to what my control is: 100% immune physical. That leaves criticals.

That being said, there is an additional variable that might account for it; Molten Shell.

It could also be Molten Shell rather than crits. I'm guessing both.
