Cap rare damage aura stacking. Instantly dying to unlucky rare mods is beyond BS.
This doesn't seem unreasonable, and while ur at it GGG do the same to the Headhunter lol.

" 200 HP is definitely no worth thse 5 acro points, I'm just saying that you could try both without loosing too much on dps. " If you don't have armour, one piece of shaper gear with ~10% physical taken as elemental or a watcher's eye with such a mod based on a purity aura ( I know, you watcher's eyes seems pretty damn good, I'm just mentioning a possibility ) could help. What about getting endurance charges in some way ? I'm pretty sure that there are some corrupted implicit that do give something like that. I think that even though elemental damage is deadly, players still underestimate potential incoming physical damage. " I agree with the need for some kind of soft cap because of scenari when stars align ( I lost a lvl 96 old-trickster to an essence mob who completely blew the character up instantly when I felt very safe, stars aligned at this moment, could I have been more careful ? sure, but that was one hell of a spike that caught me completely off guard because it was pretty ... ridiculous ), I don't think that limiting the number of auras is a good solution though, it would feel quite confusing. The problem needs to be solved at a deeper level imho. Also again, I cannot speak for Legion mob, they seem to be a problem on their own, for the rest of the content though, you are going to have a hard time convincing me that "stuff randomly one shot me and it's not my fault at all" like many like to think around here. I'm not saying that you're doing that, just that I don't believe non-legion content to be as bad as it is often pictured. So are legion mobs a problem ? Probably, at the same time you should be able to choose to release all of them or not, so there's that ( unless ED or minions I guess huh ), still some things might be overtuned, it's likely since it's GGG, but it's not just all content. SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading. Last edited by Fruz#6137 on Aug 9, 2019, 5:47:01 AM

It's no surprise that arbitrarily applying % increments to stuff which already does a lot of damage, isn't a good idea, much less doing it without any caps or hand-tuned adjustments.

" Again, I have that 200 HP because I am farming uber elder/shaper/uber atziri and mostly take singular large hits rather than many small ones. That 200 HP allows me to make a mistake and survive a shaper ball. Losing that 200 HP makes it about a 50/50 chance of a one shot. I have so much damage I really only need to worry about him getting 1-2 attacks off which means I just need to survive those hits reliably if I mess up. That is why I don't have acro allocated right now. I normally have it allocated when I map. I don't mean to be rude but I don't know how else to explain this to you. I do agree with your general sentiment though that there is a bit more complaining than is fair, but at the same time, a lot of it is warranted IMO. I can only speak for me personally, but if I make an actual mistake like mistiming a shaper slam or standing on a volatile or something, if I die, I am obviously unhappy, but I accept 100% that it was my fault and I'm not mad at the game. The issue arises when I die and it is just bad luck on rare mods or monster crits or what have you. Unrelated comment, I despise the concept of monster crits as well and think that should be seriously reworked or removed, even if it means monsters get buffed in some other way (for the same reason I made the OP - too much monster damage variance). |

" I can definitely agree with that. I would be fine if the game was not as spiky as it is now. SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.
