Turn off blood effects

Let's keep this conversation civil and on topic.

Many countries have very strict video game laws. If I remember correctly, Germany does not allow any blood in their video games (or Nazi references). The US discourages any sort of nudity and even a passing reference to alcohol or tobacco will quickly give the game a much stricter age rating. Major game companies regularly have to adjust their games to account for these local laws or risk having their sales restricted or their game banned completely. Technically PoE doesn't need to worry about these laws unless it wants to sell boxed versions of the game in stores (something that isn't planned) but it's only a matter of time until countries start policing digitally distributed games as well.

Above content may contain traces of nonsense.

Reality is simply an unrealistic version of online gaming.

Tell your buddy's to grow a pair!!!seriously..Even though somehow if there is a Blood option allot of the game has blood..its a Dark fantasy game... like Brutus.. the trail of blood to him and his attacks puking blood so... how will your friends handle that...
Even though the people saying you should deal with your phobias are right, more options is always nice and the moderator does have a good point about how unhelpfully picky some laws are in places.

And hey, if we have a no-blood (or green/purple/mauve/whatev blood color replacement mode), we have a reason for a more blood and gibs mode too, which certainly could be fun to see with a 2hander-marauder with an axe or a sword.
