End game sucks
So you get less of everything at end game. Not more.
For example: Chaos recipe is more profitable at lower levels. Once you get higher levers it gives you Regal Orbs for doing the exact same thing. Which is currently 3.1 times worse in value. This isn't the only thing either. Delve gets worse as well. The deeper you get; The longer it takes to get the required sulphite. That allows you to delve, and the faster you spend it. As going down cost more. Making your time in Delve shorter and shorter as you level. The game doesn't get more rewarding as you level it gets more punishing. You loose more XP. You get Less loot for doing the exact same thing. You get less incubators. And so on. Was thinking of working up to a head hunter. But at a 130ex price tag. Yah fuck no. " Belive me, lots of players doing it. At least this guy came here to tell the problem. For example i dont play at least 2 or 3 leagues any more. Ill just come back time to time for 1 day or few attempt to play standard and then i realise why i quitted this game. Every time i hope that thing are going better but nope its not. Last try i was dieing on T10 map on lvl 94 because syndicate members spawned, major lagg and lost more exp than i was earned that day, lost my intrests again. There are tons of things that players wants to be removed or fixed or ideas to make game better, GGG just dosent care. |

I agree with a lot of the comments here Endgame really does need some looking over and streamlining.
Endgame is more challenging in a lot of ways but at the same time its very true that it does not feel as rewarding as mid-late story and this is probably due to the fact that we tend to be much stronger in comparison to the monsters we are fighting at those levels with even mediocre gear, so the monsters die much faster and we feel like we are getting more loot. this is not really true when it comes to the amount of loot it definitely gets much better later on and in maps+ with crafting them but if your build cant clear things like it did in act 6 then its gonna feel terribly slow. Delve was amazing, my favorite league i went for all the challenges unlike this league and synthesis where im avoiding the challenges at all costs so i dont have an mtx i dont want, but the delve we have now is a shadow of itself and i do wish it would go back to how it was.. The sulphite problem was semi-fixed by the sulphite scarabs and i think that the overall effect of it has been very positive because these scarabs can be farmed by any player with an active syndicate at pretty much any content level where it is available and be used as a pretty reliable source of income for new and other players. Additionally its spawned sulphite partys which brings people together a bit more than they would otherwise be. heres to hoping GGG finds a solution that will allow us all to get closer to running more of the kind of content we want and less of what we dont want, Many players really hate the syndicate encounters because of lag or other reasons, personally i get pretty bad fps drops and complete freezes sometimes and i get murdered losing a lot of exp.. but i love the syndicate i would never opt-out of their content or any of the league content i think Its definitely frustrating even infuriating sometimes but i've played for so long and died so many times i think i've got an original toon in standard with 6k deaths lol you just get used to it and once you stop worrying about the deaths generally you start to focus more on what you are doing and end up dying less anyway in the end. And OP dont even get upset about a headhunter lol... its a crutch for most and just obscenely overpowered for a few, Having one sure can be nice on ceartain builds but dont think for a second just having one means you're stronger than everyone else or that you'll have the most damage, simply not true the Headhunter can be completely useless in a lot of fights if you cant kill the boss before your buffs run out then you are stuck with a useless belt that gives you almost nothing for losing a real rare belts stats and survivability that it adds. And I know if spent enough time in game I could get one. But, 130ex for a single item. Weather it is HH or something else. That's a problem. It makes it only for those who have no life outside of POE. My bad people like "Miská" can't understand that. There are things in game that are reserved for the elite. I get that. Things that are for people with skill. I have no problem with that logic. I like it. But this isn't a skill problem. This is a grind/time problem. And therefore unnecessary. The other problems I mentioned are things that relate to reward vs game progress. And how that also gets worse as you progress. Clearly all concepts that seem to be implemented backwards to how they should be. Should I at level 97 go farm sub level 75 maps just so I can get more Chaos? Why Can't I farm end game and get more loot than farming lower end stuff? Clearly not what anyone wants to hear. That most end game maps give you less valuable loot. Or In other words. At end game you are expected to farm 10x the amount of time. For the same amount of reward. Maybe you would have understood this point better if GGG mods didn't delete info I already typed for no reason. (Or maybe they did it to hide the fact that this is true.) The underlying facts in the OP are true. Which is weird and I never really thought of it that way.
But there are easy, elegant solutions: (1) You put 1 item iLvl < 75 in the recipe and whalla - Chaos Recipe. You run an Atziri's Vault or lower map occasionally to stock up on some lower ilvl items and you are dandy. (2) You figure out what Delve level you enjoy the most, kill the most efficient and get decent rewards, that fit into your typical sulfite budget, then you move sideways instead of downwards. Pick an equivalent map tier like monster level 77 for T10 or something. I guess I understand the constant pushing of the envelope, but if you are coming here to complain, how about considering a couple of solutions. And if you go "pffft" to those, I guess you are shit out of luck and off to another game! |

What items should I focus to keep to get chaos vs regal. It's not like I'm guarantied a specific item type I need to complete the recipe. So I guess I do it multiple times on something easy like a chest peace. Once I have all the other parts. Meaning setting aside a tab just for this. Or whatnot. Or I could just focus running lower tier maps. At which point I would get less sulphite making the level I pick to run more often even lower. I already find the content at the deepest dept I can get to really easy. And gated behind sulphite cost. That only ever get worse. I don't think there is any valid solution other than a code/game change. Besides there are more examples of things like this throughout the game. Just less noticeable. I listed these ones as they are easy to understand. And won't take much arguing to convince people they exist. The bottom line is that the game purposelessly finds more ways to punish higher level players than rewards them. Punishments get worse and harsher as you level. Which I suppose would be fine. If the reward went up with it. But the rewards do the opposite. As in they tank. Making end game not even worth it. There was no satisfaction in killing shaper. He gave me a unique item that I sold for 1c. And probable wasn't even worth the whole Chaos Orb. He wasn't hard. He was easier than his guardians. All I felt was disappointment.
