Torchlight 2 will be better than this game, have you seen the Trailer?
Reading the few posts here, I understand why people don't like D3 and TL2, and they even care about the game.
As long as the game is "gritty", it can have a shitty gameplay, they will love it ^^; PoE is for you then :) PoE forums ignore list script:

...No. Might be? Yes. Possible. Might not be. Yes. Also possible. When are you going to learn how to give your opinion without looking like you just want to divide people, force them to disagree and bask in the conflict? My guess is...never. I'm earnestly embarrassed for you. Because I think you mean well. Then again, I'm an incredibly optimistic guy and give everyone one chance too many. It's a fatal flaw but, hey, we all have to die of something. This board could do with a little less of your absolutist style, Flytheelephant, that's for sure. ___ Torchlight 2's going to be very good. I will be playing it. Hard not to support the remnants of the heart of Blizzard North. And Matt Uelman. If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

>.< nobody read my original post.
Its sarcasm. The whole post is about how horrible the trailer is. " I know how to, but what do we learn when we agree? Men become strong in logic, vast in knowledge, and competent in restraint through disagreement. Men always in agreement always become taken advantage of and enslaved because knowledge cannot be created without causing oneself or others to think. " First impressions and all that. Sarcasm is cheap, but effective -- in real life. Online, it's rarely even that effective. I do agree that the greatest advancements are made in times of conflict. Our most impressive inventions were the product of war. And a relationship might be forged in heaven but its mettle is tested in Hell. And you will see a lot of contention in other threads here...and yes, particularly my own. But these are not FORCED disagreements. They are not me drawing a line and saying 'pick a side, pick a weapon, pick a fight!' That's not how to go about it. Indeed, that is precisely the way to close minds, not open them. The responses to your threads confirm this, I am afraid. If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

" Interesting. Whether or not I play a game is almost exclusively determined by the artwork and overall atmosphere (also influenced by music), both of which are critical for my immersion and enjoyment. To be clear, I'm not talking about how technically amazing the graphics of a game are, but the style. I absolutely detest cartoony looking games, but love the dark, gritty, and realistic look. That's why I will definitely playing Path of Exile (just purchased a Beta key), but won't give a second thought to Torchlight 2 (I closed the browser window after about 1 minute into the video). |
