Splinter Gain - How do you feel about it?
So far I've grinded to start a 4-way war and a 5-way war.

It depends a lot on your build, just like a breach.
The price of them shows that it is easy enough to farm if that is your goal. Most importantly it doesn't matter where you farm, I see no difference in drop between T1 and T15 maps. So it's all up to you. Wherever you feel most comfortable. I just don't like how varied it is. Sunday I mapped a lot and was averaging 2 splinters per map. To the point where I was convinced I was doing something wrong. Then I do a bunch last night and get 7+ per map. Same varied content, same kill speed (Vaal ice nova pretty much releases 80% in one click) then mop up the remaining rares. -- The fact that you need a minimum of 200 splinters to even try the first event, it could certainly do with being more consistent. |

The drops are fine. In my opinion much better than breach. the build is very important and making sure you unlock the right stuff in the encounters - War hoards and generals. If your unlocking all the mobs, you should be getting substantially more splinters than breach. It is substantially harder to do this than fully clearing a breach though unless your a specific build.

I'm at 82, have like 20-40 of each type. Feels like a league designed specifically to not work with SSF.
" You mean the 1% of players that buys up all this stuff and finishes the league content on day 1 would riot, because they wouldn't feel as special any more. Boo hoo. |

No much chance to see an encounter here, too.
Playing melee, berserker cyclone I don't have any problems to fully clear a breach, zipping from one side to the other, or fully clear incursions. But with the splinters it's kind of meeh - pure luck to get in the right direction to get the good stuff, and no chance to release the whole army. It's a new level of speed needed for this. |

" This has been my experience too - as facebreaker champ cyclone. I had figured if it was speedy enough to fast clear maps/incursions (with 15+ secs to spare every time) it'd be fast enough but it really isn't. And the splinter drop is pretty clearly based on players getting 80%+ of each monolith. Really not liking the league mechanic being a test of breakneck speed + aoe as near requirements. It'd go a long way to just be able to see icons on the minimap so the "slower" builds could at least target the valuables. |
