Splinter Gain - How do you feel about it?

Is it just me or is it less than Breach league?

I've been comparing this to what I recall from Breach league, where I had an Esh stone to run at level 70 whereas in Legion I didn't have one until level 84 much less two(2) until level 87. This is with doing all Monoliths while leveling and killing most rares and chests(playing ED/Contagion). I feel like the splinter gain is slower. Thoughts?

It will be different for different playstyles. If you're wiping the board with a couple clicks and running maps in under 3 minutes, you'll have a much different opinion than someone slogging through the game with a defensive melee build.

If they try to make everyone happy, no one will be.
I think it's about right. It feels like I'm getting a few less splinters overall, but I find Maraketh a lot more than I found Chayula (remember they've buffed Chayula appearance twice since the start of Breach iirc).

Seems fine.

If it makes you feel any better, you probably weren't going to get full value out of your emblems anyway unless you have 100ex worth of gear and a geared out support bot friend.
50 splinters total in over a week of play (at my rate of play). So, assuming this is a representative sample, 4 weeks minimum to get 200 splinters. However, the most I have of one type is 15, so realistically it would take about 8 weeks to get a 2 army battle. I have approximately zero chance of getting one of those fancy jewels.

Given that the main item reward of the league is unattainable for me, I don't actually enjoy the specific league mechanic much in itself, and there isn't much else to gain, I've gotten bored already and sloped off back to Standard.
If they made the league play so that you could get the top rewards under those conditions, the players would riot over how easy the game was being made.

Totally not expecting access to the top rewards of the league, but it doesn't seem to have a lot else to offer. There aren't many new uniques, and the reworked ones aren't that exciting. There's nothing new crafting related. I have less than zero interest in league challenges or the "fresh" "economy". All the new mechanics are in standard too.

Maybe I'm just getting bored of PoE, as I've been playing since it came out on Steam. The last league that really felt like something new and exciting was Delve.
Maraketh is too low for something that don't offer anything really special for the effort of gathering.

Nah. I'm playing the game with a build that clears undeniably faster than what I used in Breach, and that's what I got at lv72:

Needless to say, at that point in Breach I had way more splinters (well, except Chalupa). And yes, I was tagging almost each monolith I came by during the story, and each and every one in maps.

Ya that's my only gripe with it all. The guy who ran 15 5 army emblem runs didnt even get 1 marketh jewel lol.
I am level 69 in Legion and play very casually with a very poorly geared Witch but here is what I have so far.

Remember when I won a screenshot contest and made everyone butt-hurt? Pepperidge Farm remembers.
