Rare/Magic/White monsters rework

The problem with rare and magic monsters is their only scaling comes with HP and mods, they don't inherently have more damage than white monsters. This leads to situations where they get a lot of stacking and end up being stronger than elder and shaper's guardians.

It would be fixed if rare monsters gained 75% damage, magic monsters gained 33% damage and white monsters gained 0% damage. Then you reduce all damage by 33% and make mods on monsters only 25% as effective, map mods remain with 100% effectiveness(charges get reduced to 25%).

This means, no random white monsters hitting for 2k. They can buff their hp by 25% as they die pretty fast anyway.

Magic monsters are the same as they aren't problematic.

Rare monsters gain more damage, but they don't gain absurd 1 shots from the mods they have and give to other nearby monsters. In the end this equalizes the damage you experience and a rare monster should never end up stronger than unique monsters.

I've done uber elder deathless, the pinnacle of path of exile content, i shouldn't die to unavoidable 1 shots in Legion, i am a melee build so i am bound to get hit. Rares having more standard damage and less potential damage is what is needed.

This is literally the only thing wrong with the game right now. Monster balance. I hate getting randomly oneshot!

There are no random oneshots, only unexpected damage vs insufficient defenses.

Get your 30k armour, your fortify, leech (or regen or lgoh), your +max resistances, your reduced damage taken mods, endurance charges, defensive flasks and use your eyes. You wont have huge problems anymore.

Besides in Delve, fuck Delve.

so what you're saying is? either be a tank or don't complain? What about when i decide to play ranger or a caster? What am i supposed to do then? And having to invest into so many defensive to be permanently up all the time just kills build diversity. League content in maps should be relatively doable, as it stands they are way too overtuned on the physical damage part, as most characters have 0 mitigation vs physical damage and are unable to get any as thats the way the game works.

Currently in Legion aura rare stacking from rares is the most ridiculous. 5 rares together in a t3 map outdamage shaper by a large margin if they stack together the right auras and there is a single damage modifier on the map.

Dude I have fortify, 6k life, a ton of armour, capped resistances, 3k life leech and Steelskin active and die in under a second sometimes. There need to be proper defences because this artificial danger is not fun, it's just stupid.

And yes, I am using my eyes.
How come i dont die almost ever to Legion rares all up to t16 and no matter the map mods?

Im slow on the reaction part and my pc is a toaster. My character is nothing special. I got weak defenses vs elemental, chaos and dots in general, yet i died about 5-10 times to legion rares in total and cleared the whole atlas up to t16s and shaper, only rerolling phys reflect maps.

Not trying to flame, but i dont get why you guys have such problems, while i dont.

This problem is even worse with legion since some Legion are affected by this buff as well. I had a legion rare that hit me 3 times with 1 attack in a t14 map killing me almost instantly. When you have rare 50% hp buff, imagine that buff on legion monsters+ map mods+w/e stats legion guys have. Marraketh specifically are insane.
There is a reason why under certain circumstances monsters can oneshot you.

You need to read the mobs of rare monsters. Not slam into them and tank them (unless you can really do that)
You need to put proper mods on your maps.
You need to invest in some defenses.
Kiting helps a lot.
