up Legion timer = ez fix

At least at my (lowly) level, just fire off Vaal Arc, and you release half a legion, then use Arc to release the rest... :-p

If the amount of loot gained for full clearing encounters is too much, then they should be nerfing the interaction of ED+Contagion and Vaal Ice Nova. These skills can easily clear everything with a single click, let alone using the full timer.

My understanding is that they balanced the loot assuming end-game builds would be able to clear everything, but the timer is just too short for even the fastest melee builds to clear it all due to the limitations of movement speed (not damage).

Sounds like a nice experience as a lvl 25 witch. Come back when you try maps.
The timer is fine.

Many melee builds can fully clear the monolith encounters, even in maps (my tectonic chieftain usually has time to spare, ditto my guildmates using flickerstrike and earthquake). And that's not even talking about builds like ED/Contagion, vaal ice nova, vaal arc, etc that can take out 75% of an encounter without even moving.

Please stop asking for GGG to make the game easier.

And IB? :) would the game be too easy if IB could do it with multi-exalt investment?

I used IB until I got tectonic in act 3, and it seemed to be working just fine. The limiting factor for IB is movement speed, which can be easily overcome once you have onslaught, rage, good boots etc.

Are you using melee splash and/or ancestral call with it? Because you definitely should be using one of those at all times to spread the debuff around

compare that with:
contagion+incAoE+intensify, Cast it, cast ED, done(works already at level 42 with leveling gear and far less AoE/packsize)
Cast Vaal Frostnova, done
Cast Vaal Arc, get strugglers, done

Even your Tec.Slam is probably a lot more work and we are not even at the mid-tier clear-speed skills yet.

I can ensure you that ED/Contagion does not require any skill, gear or any other requirement. It makes this complete mechanic laughable. And i really have a hard time comparing that to your plea of "Please stop asking for GGG to make the game easier.", because everyone who has trouble with it will just go ED/Contagion because a lot of melee skills are just disadvantaged.
Timer is okay. We need something to chase for. And league mechanics is not even hard.

If 3-day-in-the-league-SSF-geared characters would be able to faceroll trough endgame league mechanics, it would be awful.
retired from forum because of censorship and discrimination
(also poe2 bad)

You are literally repeating my entire point right now. Legion mechanic is indeed laughably easy, so the solution is to make it HARDER, not EASIER.

I 100% believe that all legion enemies need to have their life doubled, if not tripled, because of how strong skills like Vaal Frostnova and ED (and Tec Slam, for that matter... I was 1-shotting entire screens, including rares and chests, on a 4 link well into maps) are.

Making something that's already too easy even easier is like putting gasoline on a stove fire and then saying "well my house was probably gonna burn down anyway"

We approach the same goal from different directions. I say: as long as it is the best possible outcome to free all, there is no reason to shaft a large selection of skills while a selection of skills get it all for free.

I agree, it would be better if it would be harder. but i would not increase the life, i would increase the damage so that you have to be selective about what you free. Because when you scale life you quickly run into the problems of locking out defensive characters.

If you have a lot of damage: good for you, but can you survive what you free?
If you are defensive: good for you, but can you still get enough out of it?
middle-ground/high end: you can free more and survive it.
