Atlas in standard entirely reset

So I guess this have been asked and answered but AFAIK my atlas in standard (almost all objectives and maps completed) should have retained its state upon synthesis merge - I played barely into maps in synthesis. My info is from some reddit post I found, maybe it was wrong but it stated if a map objective is completed in either league it should be completed after merge. Is this wrong?
Because my entire atlas in Standard is reset and no objectives are completed - I lost so much progress (yes this has happened before too but then my atlas wasnt almost finished and I didnt care).

I mean, if you play both standard and leagues (sometimes) just starting a character in a league means it will screw with standard process once merged? Thats really annoying.

Thankful for any input in the matter.

The standard Atlas is usually wiped clean when a league starts since the Atlas itself have changed. Normally you can recover most map completion by completing a Tn legacy map, which should autocomplete all maps of n-1 tiers.
Yeah I know this, but this does not include bonus objectives for completing rare/corrupted maps does it?

Anyways, I guess there is nothing to be done about it is it? Since it is apparently intended behaviour.

Thanks anyway.

It used to also give the bonus objective, if you did the legacy map under the right conditions (ex: corrupted rare for T11+). I can't comment on this behavior for Legion since I am waiting for the next patch to fix most of the more dire issues before playing.

Does it have to be a legacy map? Then I am fucked cause I just converted all my maps. Doing a t13 tower corrupted rare map only gave me tower bonus, and no unlocked path anywhere...
Yes, it has to be a map from one of the previous generations. You can buy one if you're not in SSF.
Yeah confirmed... sigh.

Yeah Zphyr, this is how it used to be but not in 3.7.
However both my friend and I can now confirm that for some reason, running a legacy T16 map does NOT give T1 - T15 completion. All red maps are no longer completed in Atlas and I can't find anything about this in the patch notes....

Hum this is not my experience, I found a t14 legacy map and made sure i completed the bonus by alch corrupting it, all my t13 and below are completed including the bonus - atlas at 133/159 completion.

It was a dark forest map, thing is dark forest on the atlas is not completed, just below - probably because it was legacy.
