most people play in leagues, legacy doesnt mean anything to them. They will still want abyss jewels in the league and will still craft them and use them.

I of course agree. Abyss jewels wilbefarmed and used in leagues. I justdont think non legacy jewels will have much use in standard

it won't be just harder to craft them. they nerfed the dmg mod values by 30%. jewels are going legacy. you will never be able to create a product of same quality in 3 days as you were able to prior. no one will run abyss mod. because there is no point

abyss jewels are still wrong.
doesn't matter if they've been nerfed. people will still use abyss jewels and thus you will still craft them and people will still buy them.
I think the op makes a good point. Abyss jewels were the only thing I enjoyed crafting. I must have spent 1000 chaos on them, and not once rolled a top tier jewel. So nerfing the upper end seems unnecessary. For mid range jewels, 30-40 flat life usually works out the same as 3x 5% life on the tree, again making a nerf unnecessary. The scaling of items like hale negator and shroud of the lightless is almost unnoticable with 10 abyssal jewels vs 2, again making nerging unnecessary.

That being said, I only rolled ghastly jewels looking for minion mods. I'm not sure if flat minion attack is also being nerfed, or just player attack.

2k chaos orbs 1.7k alts and 2-3 ex, and i think i may just end my searching jewels crafting career with these final crafts (in addition to one i posted earlier)

i m going to miss jewel crafting. it was affordable, rewarding and accessible. the exact opposite of the overall crafting system. oh well......

i didnt quite go so extreme, just like 300c, double T1 phys searching so I stopped even though no life

and yes I know there is a cobalt there... I got bored and made it with 30 alts/a few augments and a couple regal/scours
so they seemed to nerf hp as well. even though i did not see the hp nerf mentioned in noteS? so in standard jewel crafting is pretty ded.

crit and acc mods are really solid and acc mod is now arguably one of the better dps mods but with top hp mods losing 10life.... jsut no reason to craft these.

i find this so odd. a year and a half ago when abyss league was winding down i expressly remember GGG stating that they felt belts were too powerful so they were taking out shape and elder stygians but they "were happy with where the jewels were" or something along those lines.

so now, all this time later, now they are too powerful? why don't you make harder content to keep up with always increasing power levels instead of nerfing existing things.

what is the point of abyss mod even going to be? who in their right mind will run it now with the nerfs to the jewels?

i ve played this game from its release but i could never engage in any other form of crafting other than the jwels. it seemed like the only craft that was affordable and rewarding for the investment it required. and not grossly convoluted.

it is just a shame that this silly pattern of nerfing things many players enjoy continues on.

Obligatory haven't read the rest of the thread.

Yes they were casual player accessible, and they were like this because you could make stupidly broken jewels for very little investment in comparison to other methods of gaining damage in the game.

Being casual player accessible made them "Good player" broken.

Balance changes cater to playstyles and tendencies of players who push the boundaries, it's how it's always been.

but they been like this a year and a half ago too. they nerfed them because they increased power of other items, that are not accessible crafts to casual players. i could never craft a synthesis 6 mod anything. but before this nerf i could keep crafting abyss jewels so i could with enough sales, one day maybe afford a pricier craft. yes they were easy to craft but they also didnt sell for a shit ton.
