So abyss jewels (one of few casual player accessible crafts) nerfed

You do realise that they increased damage of basically every attack skill + base damage of 2Handers + introducing new Auras/Support Gems for each weapon type?

Nerfing the attack-modifiers on Abyss jewels is just a good way to not completely screw the balance. The baselinebuffs will outrange the Jewel-nerf and make jewel-stacking builds less OP in comparison to "normal" builds.

Nothing to cry about.

Ah, so rather than have a reason to keep grinding jewels, you now put more emphasis into a single piece of gear. Genius, will surely enhance longevity of the average playing session.

Yeah, because grinding Abyss jewels was the main reason for extended gameplay sessions. Makes total sense. Jesus...in every fucking post you are crying about dumb shit. No joke, you're ridiculous...

It was one reason to keep playing. But good job with the hyperbole. 300 iq here, ladies and gentlemen. You must watch a lot of Rick and Morty.

Vote +1 to change Path of Exile to Path of Nerfs.
We hate to say, but ProjectPT was right.
limiting their number would make no sense, and the jewels were not nerfed just for high end players, they were nerfed for everyone because the jewels were stupidly over powered and furthermore they were wonky in their power distribution which unfairly favoured certain build archetypes, which in turn warped the build meta.

they needed nerfed, everyone with sense said the flat ele and life needed nerfed from the moment we saw the T1 rolls and the only shame here on GGGs part is that they allowed them into the game in the state they were in and did not immediately nerf them rather than letting people get used to such an abomination existing.
I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

Wow...if you think Rick and Morty is entertainment for stupid people, you should probably watch it...

but if you think about it, that was the only reason to run abyss mod right?

why even have it in. is anyone going to craft these jewels at 30% their efficiency? i have all the jwels i could ever want for my bow build, they are not top of the line shit but i have a bunch of really nice ones.
made that one last night. and most of mine are of similar quality.

but we all knew back 1.5years ago abyss jewels were crazy powerful, but they not only left them in but expressly indicated that they were happy with their power levels. if they have added things since these jewels were introduced that have made the jewels more powerful than they intended 1.5years ago then shouldn't they fix the things they introduced more recently rather than something that been around a while? or better yet, shouldn't they just work on increasing game difficulty rather than stick to this silly ilvl83/84 cap.....

it just lazy game design. if you gonna grow game in area of power of players/skills you gotta grow game in area of challenge.
Shitysushi - Arrow shooting build.
Sendeliriante - hollow palmer
^ Hot AF, shows why they got nerfed in one go too ^^

It's a series designed to make nihilism and smart speak appeal to the average dumb person. Did give it a fair chance though, watched a few episodes.

Also "Doesn't understand the 300 IQ meme, thinks he's relevant". Damn boomers are everywhere. Next time I'll use a meme from the 1960's to cater to your sensibilities Arandur.

It's ggg's balancing team we're talking about here. They'd probably balance a functional capitalist society with full blown communism.

what? it actually works that way already. communism for the top 10% of the society, full blown capitalism/neoliberalism for the rest.

it's balanced cause nobody questions why those people (with exceptions) ever got so rich never risking anything nor working hard for it.
age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

30% is fairly harsh, but with the changes to melee balancing, I'm sure abyss jewels just offered way too much damage. Considering they were a cheap and almost 100% better alternative to 'normal' belts, it makes sense they'd take the spiked Nerf bat to them in order to open up more build diversity. If they are suddenly never used because of this nerf, I'm sure GGG will buff them a little in the future to bring them back into play, but right now they're too damn strong.
