So this variation of the RF-Obliteration concept is pretty straight forwards. You dump all your passives into flask nodes and life. Grab relevant RF nodes like Elemental Overload and Elemental Equilibrium. Spiritual Aid to get %minion damage to apply to the explosions. Use Scorching Ray as your single target, and then just walk through stuff and watch it blow up. Use a dedicated heal-over-time flask to keep RF going. You can use Hidden Potential + blue gear as you're starting out, or well into the endgame if you don't want to bother with trading. Use Purity of Fire until you get a Loreweave. I advise staying away from %regen nodes, as these will only make the drain slower by an irrelevant amount. Similarly, Sulphur and Ruby Flasks did not have a very noticeable effect. That said, you can look into a Sulphur if you're lacking a bit of damage to chain monster explosions, or while saving up for a Witchfire brew.

I've tested a number of alternatives to my (now-defunct) RF Oblit Slayer build since before the Slayer Ascendancy was gutted. Of these, the two that have stood out the most are this one, and Trickster (https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2501118). Pathfinder is a good amount cheaper, a bit faster, but slightly riskier. Juggernaut with Kaom rings and Endurance charges and Hierophant splitting the RF degen to the manabase are both possible, but way too expensive for my tastes. Jugg struggles with consistently having End Charges to avoid degen, while Hiero doesn't quite get enough mana regen to offset monster damage ontop of the sustained RF. I figure Chieftan might be worth looking into for 3.7, but much like the Jugg/Hiero, it'll be hit by regen map mods which Trickster/Pathfinder variants manage to ignore. If the corrupt passive jewels aren't too expensive, I might look into unending ES recharge stuff during 3.7 as well.

The initial Slayer build featured an incredibly lazy/careless playstyle where you'd just walk through stuff and let overleech keep you alive. Unfortunately, while the trickster requires you use a skill ever second to trigger Ghost Shroud, the Pathfinder has you constantly flasking to sustain RF. It'd be nice if there was a way to have Flasks heals not stop at full life, as this is the reason why Pathfinder's life total ends up going up and down all the time.
