How do i get Equal Spell Bock
Funny how hard it is to find basic information in this game when you are new. Everything talks about 1 billion this and that for Uber X and crazy gear. Instead of answering the question.
Just trying to look up how to get Spell block that is equal to attack block and can't find out how. I have a juggernaut in progress level 22 and want equal spell block. How are people getting this? Is it an item only? thanks Last bumped on Jun 3, 2019, 10:25:41 AM

Honestly the easiest way to do it is to play Gladiator ascendancy. There are few nodes on skill tree that give spell block as well. You could use items but this pigeonholes you into gear you might not want to use otherwise.

" Thanks for the response, I tested a gladiator however this isn't my question. I am looking for basic information I don't understand spell block. My question is how do I actually get spell block for every class. I can't find the answer to this. Everyone talks about getting 75/75 block ect. and these Max block builds that I don't care about. All I want to know is how to get spell block that is equal to my attack block. What is the mechanic involved there. New player trying to figure out what is causing your spell block to be equal. Is it items? I know in gladiator they have a skill but how are other classes doing it? This is what I am not following. I currently have 34% block attack how do i get 34% block spells? Still learning all the mechanics, skills, items etc. A lot to learn and google for this game often is more confusing and doesn't answer the question. Thanks Last edited by AbombThePeoplesChamp#1184 on Jun 3, 2019, 9:17:38 AM

Who is that "everyone" you're talking about?
Are your sources outdated? Many patches ago Stone Lazwhar Amulet and Rainbow Stride Boots would apply X percent of your Attack Block to spellblock. Add in an old Rumi's Concoction Granite Flask and a high block shield and you would be pretty close to 60-70% block chance for both attacks and spells with these alone. Even back then spellblock is much more difficult to obtain, except by those "X% of your attack block applies to spells". Nowadays non-gladiator builds usually dont care about 75/75 or even 78/78, because block needs a lot of investment and you can still get oneshot. |

" You have to understand I have no idea about any of the items you are talking about and also I am a new player so have no idea how it previously worked. So finding basic information is incredibly difficult in this game when searching on google. It's an endless search of builds and complicated abbreviations that I don't know what they mean. I am trying to get down the basics and see if this is a game I want to continue playing. Just hard to get basic information because everyone acts like you been playing this game for years instead of 2 weeks. I am currently testing a few builds out and seeing if anything is interesting enough to play in Legion or if I actually like this game. It is undecided so far just trying to learn basic mechanics. So are these items Rainbow stride and Stone ammy the way classes are getting equal block? You mention Gladiator again and I am just trying to talk about everything but Gladiator, I am also not talking about Max block either. I just want to understand the equal block mechanic, please and thanks. I am uncertain why my basic questions don't have basic answers? This is why I said "Everyone" because also in this thread its proving hard to answer new player questions. I could care less about end game just trying to see if I like the first part of the game and want to keep playing. Act like I know nothing please and we can take it from there so I can understand basic mechanics of gameplay. That is why I am frustrated so far with this game. Can't even ask a beginner question in chat, cause it's not new player friendly. They tell you to google and you can't find it. Then it just makes me want to uninstall and play another game. Spent and hour today trying to figure out about Equal block. That is all I care about answering. Thanks Edit- Rainbow boots when I look them up have spell block but won't give me equal block? Stone Lazwhar also has + spell block but won't give me equal block. Last edited by AbombThePeoplesChamp#1184 on Jun 3, 2019, 10:01:48 AM

You get spell block on items and your skill-tree.
There is currently no way to get equal spell block other than playing gladiator as they have a special skill node that they can pick. (⌐■_■) Last edited by RPGlitch#6206 on Jun 3, 2019, 10:01:15 AM

" OMG!! This is all I wanted to know!! Sweet baby jesus didn't think that would be so hard. You Sir have an amazing day! Thankyou so very much for answering my question!! Phew! Ohh wow okay so when I was googling it was very misleading since other builds like witch etc talked about having equal spell block. Guess this was removed? " Items and skills (used by witches) were made so bad that you can't really do it anymore. So, yes. They were removed. (⌐■_■) Last edited by RPGlitch#6206 on Jun 3, 2019, 10:13:21 AM

" You likely found outdated builds. Like others mentioned, " It was changed a few patches ago. To make learning worse for you, there may be new items related to block in the Friday patch. :D |
