You can wear armour with bringer of rain and get the look to show despite it being disabled, so it would probably be the same here, but you'd have to put the helmet on while the node is inactive (by removing the jewel)
Good idea but now that makes the player experience EVEN MORE about one shots which is already a big problem. I think people don't understand that it's monsters critical damage that is lucky aka 40% more crit damage.

idk where the hell you're getting "40% more crit damage" from, it varies widely depending on the source of incoming damage but it's not that high in general outside of *maybe* lightning damage.

Sure. But you still lose your helm enchant, and your helm stats. And a different pantheon. And whatever you have to spend to invest in 'a reasonable amount' of reduced crit taken.

I fear for us being teased by tons of cool Jewel-Skills, only to find out, that all of the Jewels are locked behind tons of rng and grind.
Its fine to lock good items behind hard content. Its not fine to tease the player base and then lock them behind ridiculous rng. Thats my opinion atleast. I love the idea of new passives, but im getting a bad vibe from this and am trying not to hype myself over these Jewels too much.
Seems like a nice jewel to use with Vaal Immortal Call. Or Mathil.

Not so sure about any other uses, though.

Broken, without luck...
Easy, use it with Brass dome, something with anti-freeze and something with anti-shock.

I personally think armour is going to get some re-work love this patch as well, so this would work well.
