Your Zombies count as Corpses

Holy... just... holy smokes.
These new gloves (Aukuna's Will) are probably going to be the chase item to get...

Summon a zombie horde with Mon'Tregul's Grasp or two, with tons of stacked minion life, let them surround the target and then... detonate dead.
*POP* goes the boss.

I can see someone using this cheeze to all but one shot Uber Elder phases at some point.

And you don't even need a corpse to summon a zombie. So you just got 3 to 5 *seriously* tanky homing missiles to send at a target and POP POP POP...



And if this stacks with volatile dead... it'll replace Winter Orb as the go-to skill & item combination.



And... Cast while cyclone!

Monsters can detonate dead too.

I was wondering how that would work, but this seems too op. With necro ascendencis, this gives cast speed bonus, plus chaos dot on ground, plus, as you said, huuuge instant damage, all with one button push. Hence, we should expect nerfs to something to balance the item.

In any case, I'm wondering if a zombie spell totem build might be viable with this item.

Actually, all news stories (as well as Ziggy if you don't trust they know what they're talking about) have mentioned DD in relation to those gloves.

Anyway, don't forget that Raise Zombie is a slow-ass skill to cast. So you'd better hope you can one-shot the boss, cos it'd be a pain to summon them all again. More importantly, it'll be a chore to clear like this, so you're probably gonna use something else for that.

Didn't realize that someone mentioned DD had an in-game effect on how an item works. That's utterly amazing.

Depends on how it's coded. The gloves just say 'your zombies count as corpses', but we don't know if that's a statement of how they're treated generally by the game or just for you. If the former, then they wouldn't need the gloves to blow up our little 'family'.
