Macro for multiple flasks at once - is this legal?

I heard many said this is illegal which will resulted game ban. But after watched so many streamers videos, now I know why they can play way better, farm quickest, easiest and effectively by activated multiple flasks at once. are those streamers not bounce to rule/ban from GGG?

I am start to consider onboard the plane ^^

go ahead and do it, you will be getting banned
No it's not legal at all.

They manually click several flasks at once or in quick succession. Not the same thing.

You've been informed, so do it at your own risk.

A lot of the streamers just activate the flasks by clicking them fast.
Takes a while to get used to but it's very efficient when you use 4 fingers to activate 4 utility flasks in row.
get a logitech G600 mouse, assign number keys 1-5 to 5 buttons on the side (so 1 button performs 1 action) and then smash them all at once with 1 finger :)))
Of all the elements to this game, how can automating potion drinking be a bannable offence. If you're not supposed to be able to drink them in quick succession, just put a timer on them.

If you are, then this hardly feels like a game breaking thing. No worse than having a custom keyboard or as the guy above said, a mouse with loads of buttons in a cluster.
a custom keyboard won't help, as you still need to press multiple keys

a custom mouse might help, but you won't really have precision unless you train your finger really good.

ANYTHING is a banable offence as long as it performs more than 1 action per 1 key press. using a potion is 1 action. using 3 potions are 3 actions.

the only exception to the rule seems to be trading, where i'm pretty sure there are macros that send a text and kick you out of the party with 1 key press.

PS: for me only 2 button mouse seems to do the trick, as i can easily reach QWE and 123, for 4 & 5 i have mouse extra buttons and on R and T i put auras / town portal.

hmm.... i think stick a flat ice cream stick along few buttons will works. but then how GGG will know i am using this trick (legal) versus macro key (illegal)? If GGG not able to differentiate a player running which method activate those flasks, why not allow us doing this macro?
well I am guessing that they get those kind of information via the PoE client that monitor when you press a key on your keyboard how many actions are sent to it....

Actually that wouldn't be permitted by GGG. (Source 1, Source 2)

You may be interested in the thread linked to from my signature. It's not something they themselves have created, but it does cite them fairly extensively. Closest to a public macros policy we have at the moment.
