Update on Cross-Play, GGG says it's Sony.
Fucking Epic, the bastards should have pushed for this harder before they shut down Paragon. It died because they couldn't get it on Xbox with PS, and it was by far the best MOBA there is. From what I've seen of the sequels people are making from the assets they gave out it's not gonna come back nearly as good either.
That's pretty sweet though, much hype. Edit: I heard about this before, I didn't know it was gonna be a free to play, or a Monster Hunter type game though. I'm pretty curious about this now. Also ironically, I heard about it in a Reddit post where someone was correcting another guy for it having nothing to do with Epic. Really weird they put that big Epic logo on that. (Probably to get Epic fanboys interested. It worked on me, Quake 1-3 will forever right any wrong Epic can do.) Edit again: Aw shit, I just watched the trailer and found out it was already out. I'm already hardly playing PSO2 because of this game. If dauntless is as good as it looks I'm gonna end up dropping it almost entirely. Need a new signature, cuz name change. I dunno though. I guess this seems fine. Yeah, this is good. Last edited by LV9999Majin#9565 on May 29, 2019, 10:04:38 PM

Why would GGG need permission to enable a cross-market? We don't need to play together, just using a shared tradeboard across xbox-ps4 would solve a lot of problems and stabilize the market on consoles.

" Even though you not playing together, the player accounts are still bound to Microsoft and Sony. |

I am not interested in crossplay. It would mean we would have to pay for PS plus.

" No it wouldn't. No free to play game ever need plus. If it did it wouldn't be a free to play. Need a new signature, cuz name change. I dunno though. I guess this seems fine. Yeah, this is good.

" Download Dauntless, and be amazed... That said, the crossplay in Dauntless doesn't seen worthwhile after quite a bit of play this week. With it enabled I get huge FPS drops or lag (some kind of major performance hit) when Crossplay is enabled. Switch it off and the game plays silky-smooth; not sure what's going on there, but I noticed other people reporting the same thing. I've even seen a few PC players say they get similar problems when console players are around, so whatever Epic is using to bridge the networks seems to be introducing problems of it's own. If Epic is struggling, I doubt GGG can pull-off crossplay without severe problems. |

" I think it must be Phoenix handling the servers, Epic is probably just publishing. I cross-play Fortnite with my friends on Xbox no problem, and Rocket League has always worked fine with PC players. It's nice to know the game isn't just like that though, I thought it was just really badly made. Need a new signature, cuz name change. I dunno though. I guess this seems fine. Yeah, this is good.

Before Xplay happens, maybe put in a party joining board first? Not sure how it'll even work at the moment unless cross community is in the works somehow. Also, any idea if the game is being ported to switch?

" GGG said they have no current plans to do so. Post was a few months ago on here somewhere. TrueAchievements - https://www.trueachievements.com/gamer/Corrison
