Update on Cross-Play, GGG says it's Sony.

As much as I think this would be great.

I don't see it happening.

Every time there is a game platform that wants crossplay with PS4 there is always Sony pushing back and this is coming from huge titles like Rocket League and Fortnite.

PoE is pretty well known but they are not as big as those games. Sony's philosophy is pretty shitty I think, they want you on their platform buying games for their consoles so they get the money. If crossplay is there, it lowers that chance that person would pick up their products.

They don't give a toss about gamers really, in some ways they do, but a lot of ways they don't.

No offense but I dont know why everyone is so crazy about crossplay, I literally don't give a .. about it. My focus is on the performance of this game and not some "nice-to-have" feature. I don't need another hundred useless items selling for one exalted on the trademarkt, which makes browsing even harder.

So if you wanna start a petition name it "Chris Wilson-Fix-Tradeboard-Before-Cross-Play-Because-Trading-Will-Get-Worse".

Cross-Play in this current state is an aweful idea.

And lets be honest.. they didn't even managed to make guilds work in two years and you expect them to pull out cross-play.. let me tell you a secret - come closer - Sony isn't the only reason why this will not be in the game anytime soon. Don't tell anyone.

Just have to throw this out there you have that backwards, Sony was trying to make Rocket League cross platform and Microsoft refused. For the most part Sony is pretty anti cross play though.

Edit: I think there must've been another push for it since I looked into it. When I was reading about Sony trying to make Rocket League cross platform Switch wasn't out. It was just Xbox with Windows, and PS4 with other OSs. I didn't know Xbox/Windows had gone cross platform with Switch since then. It was probably just Sony being grumpy bitches, since that would be a pretty shitty situation.


To the main point though, I would love this so much. All my friends play on Xbox, if this were to go cross platform I could probably get them to start playing. It would help this game so much, I'm sure a massive amount of players would join solely for it being cross platform.

Lulz trust me I really hate to say anything negative about playstation, that is a horrible thing to bring up though. That came in effect after Microsoft, Epic, and the players pushed for it for months.

Not sure what is dishonest about it. The head of GGG specifically said that players need to talk to Sony about getting cross play going for PoE. And the Fortnite cross play you are referring to took alot of outside pressure to even get off the ground.

I also do not think I need to cross play. Perhaps the good thing is to have the shared trade market, unified between the platforms by the GGG server or anything like that.
