Wow! You really just wrote that didn't you. That sums you up perfectly.

Now you have your 40, can I kindly ask that you move along to another game and stop ruining the forums for other users?

I don't even know why I asked that because it won't happen. You obviously thrive and take great joy in being an annoyance on these forums.

Of course it won't happen and none of your suggestions will happen either because you're the minority and that makes it 20 times sweeter because I already know what happens.

Have a nice day.

Not about being broken. it's not about fixing. It's about enhancing to make the GAME better. It's about balancing. But you clearly feel that the flask system is perfect. Good for you.

But have you watched her construct good arguments in a debate/discussion without jumping on the suppression techique/elitist train the first chance she gets? That's the question. We all suck at something. I like to THINK that I don't take any consolation from other people sucking. But the reality...

Sure! Shags(Menwith)beard: You are bad at computer games. You probably lose health more than other people and need to push a button to get it back. Zap.
Increase the effect, cd and duration so players use it more when they actually need it. Simply reduces the need for spam, which brings nothing to the game.
And lock the duration, so flasks (unless instant) keep going even at full mana/life etc., with a cooldown so you can't use it till the first cycle is over.

Personally I'd like to see max flasks go to three. I don't have an issue with effects or uptime but I think five just exacerbates the excess in the game. Additionally, I'm not sure why button mashing has become equated with game skill but I find it damn annoying so anything to lessen the need for keyboard abuse is good by me.

Yeah, it seems way more intuitive, easy, and new-player friendly to just make flask effects permanent. Flask-boosting nodes and effects could just boost the impact of the flasks you equip.

POE flasks remind me of Starcraft 2, playing Zerg - you have to inject your hatcheries every few seconds to keep up unit production. Otherwise you fall behind. Consistently doing that manually is a mark of mechanical skill but it's also boring and not fun, detracting from the core game experience. I think SC2 tried automatic injects for awhile but I haven't followed closely enough to recall the results.

this is why I hate zerg in multiplayer! Just can't be bothered with injects, but as to on topic I don't know what they should do with flasks.

the current implementation seems dumb, but reworking it would be a huge balance issue they'd have to add defence all over the passive tree to compensate or make them even stronger than they already are and limit their uptime.

I can't see them doing either, they should also delete diamond flask they shoulda done that years ago such a dumb flask. At least make it a high rarity unique

There are some longer Boss fights where you DO have to choose when to use a flask. But for the 'normal' play experience, it is strange that each flask seems to be a 'permanent buff'.

Also shit like this is dumb af

I wouldn't mind having a surgeon's dia flask <3 but apparently that's not allowed by the game mechanics.

edit:

I didn't know people actually portal out of bosses to refill flasks. Didn't think this was a thing, certainly GGG must have seen this coming and made it so you can't portal inside a boss room until all the monsters are dead, or if you leave, it resets the instance or something.

Flask management without cheating by portaling out is an important skill. It adds value to mods and flasks that have more total charges or use more economical amounts.

If anything should be done, it's let players manage their flasks however they like, but no portaling out or free refills by using exploits that go against the spirit of the game.

Flask macro? Fine, use all flasks at once if you like. But no you don't get to abuse a glitch to refill them when your life flask is empty because you were trying to use a bot to autotip your utility flasks while still at near-full life. They were never intended to be a permanent or renewable boost, even pathfinder has to spend a lot of skill points to get to perpetual flasks, points that could go into better defences elsewhere, or big dps.
