The 20 Alteration deal -- don't be ripped off.

The main reason not to take this deal is that any seasoned player will take 16 alts in kind instead of a chaos orb. So even if you are a newb player who doesn't have access to the vendor exchange, you don't need the alternate currency, except in the rare case of a self-found player who needs fusings and other such to do low-level item modifications. Everyone else should use currency directly on new good items, and for that, 16 alts == 1 chaos, and everyone who sells items with any degree of regularlity completely knows it.

as I said before, not on noobcore. If you look at the difference between HC and SC, the trade rates and exchange rates differ slightly. Not alot, but there is a difference. And I usually see people using a different exchange rate for HC and they do in SC anyway.

And I do alot of SC running for practice for my HC builds, so I see alot of exchanges.

Its been 1 Exalt = 5 GCP = 15 Chaos = 30 Fusings for months now, please point me in the direction of people paying 6 GCP for an exalt because I would LOVE to exploit their kindness/idiocy?

For HC, yes I would have gotten ripped pretty bad, but in noobcore, which is where I traded, I got a poor deal. not HORRIBLE, but a bad deal. It was just a spur of the moment hectic deal. I needed one more exalt for a trade, and so I sold an excess of fusings to get it.

1ex = 6 GCP = ~22 Chaos = ~38 fusings

Yes it was a bad deal, but thats what I get for rushing. Also, I dont follow the 'guidelines' exactly

Never mind, I ripped myself off even worse than that. I was selling a 14% Greater Multiple, had a solid offer of 7 GCP and was hoping for 8 GCP. A buyer offered me 60 Fusings, and I was too noob to realise that 60 Fusing was roughly 10 GCP and I knocked it back.

btw the rates I suggested above (1 Exalt = 30 Fusing) *is* noobcore

This calculator has a fairly good exchange rate. Go ahead and test. put 1 into the exalt and see what comes out for how many gcp.

You can buy the following direct from venders. not all venders sell the same things and some may have changed with updates since last I looked.

4x Transmutation --> Augmentation
4x Augmentation --> Alteration
2x Alteration --> Jeweller
4x Jeweller --> Fusing OR 3x Jeweller --> Chromatic
1x Fusing --> Chance
4x Chance --> Scouring
2x Scouring --> Regret

Is alchemy orb fair price for act1 norm quest gem? Not for you or for someone else maybe, but some people are lazy to create new char/do not know/value time more etc.

Converting alts to fusings then to chaos may take time, some people value time more than your stupid 4 alts.

I will never trade my 20 alts for 1 chaos, thats my personal opinion, but i will never create dumb threads complaining about stupid ratios, when people can decide on their own.
