Toxic Rain Bow Crafting
" You are likely going for more +mods on this kind of bow using fossil crafting. The DPS difference will be much bigger - e.g. count with my bow I was using in Synth HC for CA. P.S.: I hope that mere fact that this was obtainable for HC is enough argument to account it :-) MY CHALLENGES ARE DONE ON HC, IT'S NOT SC GUYS! " on my build, this exact bow would give me.... LINK mirage archer, void manip, efficacy, empower4, swift affliction. MYSELF dps: 103,995.9 atkspd: 3.75 duration: 1.9 740,970.79 MIRAGE ARCHER dps: 92,556.35 atkspd: 1.5 duration: 1.9 263,785.6 TOTEMS dps: 15,247.2 atkspd: 2.5 duration: 2.04 totems: 4 311,042.88 1,315,799.27 total dps per pod. worst option of them all except over quill rain. also i calculate all of the dps because with my build, specifically, the bow also factors into the totems damage so all of the socketed gem levels don't do a damn thing for them and it shows in the calculations. |

if you got that craft on a decent base, like thicket bow, it would go a loooong way.

" This is easy to prove that you are not correct. Get your Quill Rain, and use TR linked with increased AoE, as high a level as you have available, but even a low level one has quite a bit of increased AoE. In your hideout stand in a relatively open area and put your cursor on some landmark that you can repeatably use as a point to fire on so you are firing in the same place every time. Fire for like 10 seconds straight and place a decoration at the edge of where the outermost pods land. Fire again and double check the decoration spot. At a different point on the circle, do the same for the edge of the green plumes when the pods explode. Now remove the increased AoE support and repeat the firing. You will see that the decoration marking the edge of the pod landing circle still accurately depicts the edge of the pod landing circle, but the decoration marking the green plume edge no longer marks the edge of the green plume, the plumes will be smaller. This isn't new info. All of this was explored in depth in Delve League when TR was released. It's well tested. additional arrows only increases the area of the circle where the pods land. Increased AoE only increases the DoT area of each pod, and as a result of all that, conc effect is not a good link for TR and inc. AoE support is quite decent. " Okay now you're just trolling. Attack animation times are extremely important in responsiveness of every attack based build. Pretty much every attack build in the game stacks attack speed so that they can get out of animation lock ASAP when they need to move in combat. 10% less attack speed is huge in actual play. In my build this is equivalent to needing an additional 25% increased attack speed... You don't just "make this up" with different gearing choices. 25% increased attack speed from gear is a lot, and is going to come with a trade-off of putting elder bow DPS even further behind, or increase cost of other gearing, or make your defensive utility worse. Look, your initial statement was that synth bows "suck ball sack" and that elder bows "BLOW them out of the water". I hope everyone realizes by now that this is completely false. The synth bow route allows more flexibility in gearing with attack speed, more flexibility with support links, they are more DPS, and they are easier to sustain mana when shooting in places like Delve where you do a fair amount of standing in one spot constantly attacking. keep in mind when i say synth bows suck balls and elder bows blow them out of the water, im also considering cost as a factor.
don't want conc effect? don't use it. there are plenty of other supports which give almost the same dps increase. hell you can even use inc duration Last edited by xMustard#3403 on Apr 12, 2019, 8:32:41 PM
