meta-story:

You are Einhar. Beastmaster, living among Exiles. Your mission has been a noble one, but you have been away from the Grand Fortress for far too long. It's time to come home to your clan!

After weeks of traveling, the first thing you hear is the rhythmic sound of drums in the distance. As you approach the stronghold, the penetrating smell of thaumaturgy fills the air like incense.
Your body immediately reacts to the heavy scent of blood magic. The bittersweet taste, like enzyme and bile, numbs your senses and makes your heart pump faster. Rhythmic chanting is mixing into the drums, and when you finally reach the fortress, the trance has taken hold of you. You see a figure coming through the gate, carrying the blood thurible. Behind her a procession of guards.

As she approaches, you recognize her as the high priestess. The Crowd is ecstatic. The smell is so overwhelming, it electrifies your entire body. You can't grasp a clear thought anymore and the last thing you hear before your minds slip away, is the soothing voice of the priestess, whispering in your ear:

"Welcome home, Beastmaster!"
