I've been playing since the beginning of OB and have not yet had the luxury of an exalt drop. Meh, RNG I guess. I play solo only with no iiq on my equip though, that may be a factor ;)
Also, "I have not been dropped a.." is gramatically correct, even if it's a bit long-winded. "Yeah, I dropped an exalt" is definitly not what you intended on saying ;) |

I suppose I have been extremely lucky. I had two exalts drop within 4 hours of gameplay of each other and ive only been playing since open beta.

Over CB+What I've played of OB so far, I've seen maybe 6-7 exalt drops. I too am almost a year old in PoE. I've also bought 4 exalts, one for a 500 EV 5l (lol).

I think I've gotten every orb so far in game except for the ever elusive Kalandra's Mirror. Some days I'll get a ton of orbs then I'll go on a dry spell for a few - totally at the mercy of the RNG gods...

" Isn't RNG a mother F***ing bitch! This is part and parsal just a normal aspect of arpg game playing. I played D3 for at least 500 hours at level 60 and never got a set item to drop. Then I played TL2 and I'm at level 55 with 6 out of a 9 set item group and you can easily see where the devs want their arpg to be in terms of difficulty and rewards. "You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..."

Making RNG part of difficulty is such a poor idea. Random isn't hard, it's just annoying. Difficulty is something that should be offset by skill, not absurd luck.
I've had 2 exalted orbs in something like 600 character levels. Hardest part of the game at this point is paying attention and not dying while I do maps and watch TV. Which is no big deal since most of the time loot worth picking up doesn't drop anyway. |
