Just guessing here but I think you went to the next difficulty at around lvl 30 and tried using RF there. Since every new difficulty gives you a penalty to all resistances you most likely recieved alot more damage from the self burning effect since you did not get any added fire resistance meanwhile:)

I suppose it is fortunate, then, that nobody here is suggesting using the degeneration effect to kill monsters. We're talking about the spell damage bonus.

The degeneration aspect of it is actually decent damage in Valesco's Templar build, but that is because there is a larger pool of HP. It will do almost nothing in this build.

Can you find Shavronne in docks on Merciless? I have planned a similiar build

in theory yes cuz u can find white occultist vestments aswell
but dont count on me, i heard it somewhere and from the lvl it should be possible

Dont forget that RF is a "rich man's build". Ive been running RF on my templar without Shavronnes (not enough orbs yet)from lvl50 and its a pain to avoid chaos damage.
So yes, the armour can be OP, but you first need the orbs to buy it and even with the armour you're not invincible.
Its comparable to CI, no more energy shield -> death.

(oh, and youre making some weird choices in your build tree, get rid of inner force)
